Weaving Wholeness is starting an exciting 10-month project to develop the principles, processes and practices that can empower frontline facilitators of #education. Nadia Chaney (@eternalflux_ ), Madhu Shukla (@maddyzozo ) and Romana Shaikh (@shaikhromana ) are weaving together their realities and expertise as #facilitators, #artists, #storytellers and #educators to create something brave, bold and fun!

We are seeking to explore facilitation from a gender transformation lens and weave a pedagogy of creative arts, storytelling and embodiment for the Indian context.

We’re going to work as a small team for this, and are looking for someone who wants to hold the process with us. The Program and Research Coordinator role will hold together research collection, program operations and partner relations for this project. If you want a place to deep dive into transformative facilitation, this is for you!

A wonderful improv theatre journey over the past two months concluded in a private performance sharing of The Oracle: Wisdom Improvised devised and directed by @jpitts1028 . It was a real  joy to  intuit and create  with  the golden people on the crew.
Touched by each of your wisdom my improv playmates and the depth of the questions of the audience, that inspired a  healing and joyous improvised performance.

We had the honor to create a sacred container for the questions offered by the audience-Through stories, improvised scenes, movement, music and songs we inquired and explored the questions of the human spirit and how to navigate  these times we are moving through.

Annual ritual now Sunrise Solstice Yoga with @kaliom108 to mark the longest day of the year and honor the sun.

27 sun salutations and watching the sunrise in complete silent presence - followed by a centring asana practise with a wonderful group of sunrise yoga enthusiasts :)

Today many birds and squirrels visited us during the practise. The weather was cool and skies were blue and clear.

Gratitude and may peace finds us all. by @maddyzozo

The human nervous system cannot fully distinguish between a vividly imagined experience and a real one. That’s the science behind why role-play and embodied enactment in psychodrama can create genuine neurological and emotional shifts — not just insight, but actual healing.

If that intrigues you, the syllabus of Healing in Action: Trauma-Informed Psychodrama Practices was designed with exactly that in mind.

Last night I shared a personal story with the This Much is True story community and it felt like home. Not just the memories and feelings stirred by everyone's stories but also the warm and deep presence of all the listeners. The story family is a family that can contain and honor every story. Thanks Scott Whitehair for holding this space with such care in it's 18th year. by @maddyzozo

Some spaces teach us. Some spaces transform us.

I feel deeply fortunate that some people consider me a part of their becoming. It is a privilege I never take lightly, and one I hold with immense gratitude.

Today, however, I wish to offer a glimpse into a space that has quietly become an essential part of my own becoming.

Soul Story Mandala, lovingly facilitated by Sowmya Srinivasan, has been holding monthly online gatherings since 2023.

Each month, Sowmya curates and performs powerful eco-feminine stories that invite us into deeper landscapes of ourselves. They move us, unsettle us, crack us open, and often leave us transformed.

Yesterday evening was one such experience.

Through Martin Shaw’s - Moon Palace - an Inuit tale unfamiliar and largely unexplored by many of us - we were invited into a profound encounter with grief.

Not grief as something to be fixed.

Not grief as something to overcome.

But grief as a sacred transformer.

A force that reshapes us.
A force that strips away what no longer serves.
A force that, if honoured fully, allows us to rise differently.

As the story unfolded, it stirred deep inner churning, reflection, and conversation. It reminded me that some stories do not offer answers. They offer a doorway.

And if we are willing to step through, they change us.

Intense reflections emerged from the story, the space, and the beautiful insights offered by my dear friend Neeta Lalwani and Madhu. Thankyou @rohinimalyala & @ranjeeta_sachdeva for your story reflections 🌱

For sometimes, the stories that shape us most are not the ones we tell, but the ones that quietly tell us who we are becoming. 🌙✨

A nourishing experience to be a part of the The Soul Story Mandala led by @sowmya.r.srinivasan_soulspace. She told us an Inuit tale of a woman's journey through life and her coming into her ultimate creative power. How our grief can elevate us to new spaces in our lives leaving us forever changed.

What touched me the most was the space to linger with an ancient tale and allow it's mythical waters to wash over our inner world and transport us into mythical time and mythical space. For in these moments we have a glimpse of our connections to the larger picture and the part we play in creating our world.

In the words of Sharon Blackie:
"Our Heroine’s wisdom may spring in part from her association with the Otherworld but above all else grounded, rooted, and earthy. It is the wisdom of this world and the Otherworld combined: the creative, regenerative, power of life”. The crucial mystery is our “understanding of our place in the wider web of life on this beautiful and mysterious Earth” "

Thank you for the inspiration Sowmya to fearlessly weave our webs of creation.
One of the pictures shared is the images that were inspired by her telling the story- to capture the feelings of how the story landed in me. The other of a butterfly sculpture from last summer at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum to capture the spirit of the eco feminine heroine.

Look out for the story circle next month if you wish to nourish your spirit with soul food. by @maddyzozo

With long time travel and adventure buddy @marlisjos actioned a long time idea of walking down the Lakefront Trail along Lake Michigan . We completed Part 1 today of walking 13 miles from North Sheridan and being rewarded with stunning views of the sparkling Buckingham fountains. That's half the trail. We decided Part 2 shall be saved for the Fall later this year. Walking down this iconic trail along this magnificent water body was both grounding and amazing. It was like getting to know your neighbour. Lake Michigan, full of sea vibes, a gazillion moods and colours, holder and witness to so many lives, defining the city- you are legendary. by @maddyzozo
