Hello there 👋

Can you believe 2026 will be the 5th year of Made Up North events! I'm so proud of what my lockdown side project has grown into and can't wait to bring together some amazing northern creatives this year.

As it stands I'll be hosting two markets at the wonderful @boiler_shop on Sunday 2nd of August & Sunday 6th of December. Trader application dates are still TBD but I'll hopefully be able to confirm them towards the end of march.

I just want to give a big thank you to anyone who has ever visited or traded at one of my markets, they wouldn't be possible without you! 🧡 taken in Newcastle upon Tyne by @made.upnorth

So much to all the 1032 people who came down and supported the market yesterday it was amazing to see so many familiar faces and meet some new ones too!

And a big thank you to all the very talented traders that came along for the day, you were all brilliant as always!

It’s been a busy start to the day @made.upnorth Summer Market, and we’re just getting started!

A huge thank you to everyone who’s stopped by and picked up something already. It’s been lovely chatting books with you all.

If you’re still deciding what to do this afternoon, come by for a browse. We’ve brought a carefully curated selection of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, signed copies, indie presses, local authors, exclusive releases and plenty of great reads #MadeUpNorth and from further afield too. Plus, we’re celebrating Women in Translation Month with a stack of brilliant translations. So, something for everyone.

Here is Senyü Crossbody & Belt Bag. ✨

It features two zipped compartments, an easy-access front pocket, an adjustable woven strap, and a lightweight design. Woven from natural cotton fibres on a traditional backstrap loom, it’s made to be both practical and beautiful an everyday statement piece.

These bags were designed with @made.upnorth clients in mind and I have been waiting to launch them for the very first time this Sunday, 2nd August.
