This week has been pretty hard so I'm reflecting on all the random stuff that makes me happy. Like this photoshoot I did with @maryhannahharte
Who makes me feel like a rockstar every time. And obvi Taylor Swift...and just other random things.

I've been working on a commission that's filled with fall based colors which just makes me want to wear this wine colored two piece by @siri_kate REALLY BAD...but it doesn't go fit a pregnant belly lol.

There are lots of future memories that are exciting to me too that I'm already grateful for but obvi I don't have photos for that soo we gotta look to the past for now.

I'm so so happy it's almost the weekend! Not because that means no work; I'll actually be in the studio as much as possible because my husband will be P.O.D. (parent on duty). I'm just happy because my routine changes and me and the little one are in NEEED of a change. by @madebyallison

I post my thrifted fits because my husband is tired of me saying, "look what I thrifted today!!" I also want people to know that you can legit find anything second hand.

I'm a mother of 3 who has had 3 C-sections and my body is pretty soft right now. I'm working on strengthening it through pelvic floor PT (every woman should go!!! It's amazing) and yoga (I love my studio! @yonderyoga )

But for now that means I'm constantly in different sizes and figuring out what the heck I like to wear. I've just been dressing based on what doesn't have baby/toddler/kid insanity on it instead of asking, what makes me feel good?

Thrifting is a great way to try that out for me AND I'm probably going to get paint on it anyways. Plus you can't buy 100% cotton these days and that stuff feels so good.

Another fun announcement 📣! Acrylic painting will now be offered in the evenings!

Join us as we welcome @madebyallison as our newest instructor at Little Thistle! She is not only one of our new neighbors at Spruill Studios, but an amazing artist with a focus in abstract florals.

Students will learn how to paint all while exploring colors, techniques and form with acrylic! ALL materials are including in the 4 part class and it is beginner friendly, but all skills are welcome!

The middle of a painting is always something that frustrates me. It's where you hate everything and question why you even paint. I'm pretty sure all artists go through this. Or even that middle of a project feeling where you're like, why did I start this??

Honestly motherhood can feel like that too. Especially in the summer. If you're a SAHM or a working mom I know you're thinking, how many more weeks of summer?? We're constantly in the middle of something. Most of the time the beginning and ends get all the attention but the messy middle is worth sitting in. It's where all these fun details start coming about. Where you realize you actually do like that thing that you thought was ugly. Who doesn't love a good photo dump? June might have been the best month of the year. Like I don't know how another month will top this one. I moved into my studio WHAT?! Still can't believe it.

We took a family trip to Acadia Park---Maine is amazing. I want to go back next year.

The kids have gotten some playtime in my studio which is very dreamy and chaotic.

And I'm getting to explore new styles and find inspiration in so many things around me.

Another day, another outfit thanks to @goodwillintl

Today only my skirt is thrifted but the rest of it I've had for so long it feels thrifted. That's a thing right? My youngest daughter HAS to have dresses that twirl or it's a total meltdown. I haven't worn anything that twirls in so long I forgot how it felt. And I totally get it! Maybe I'll start having twirl related meltdowns now too...

Common things I say: shoot, where are my "names important item," oh well it will turn up.

Keeping it simple today. I'm still so excited that I get to go into work. Thankfully my mom is able to watch my kids while I'm here. Couldn't do this without lots of support from my family and friends.

Girls just wanna flip furniture!! Or at least give it a second life. Also I've been driving my Grandpa's old truck around and I think I was made for it? Very sad to give it back.

After MULTIPLE rounds with my shark cleaner, no this is not something I'm getting $$$ to show you I just love that thing, my chair is ready for my studio.

A good friend once told me that a studio isn't complete without a really good thinking chair and this one has all kinds of personality. I love it! The thrift gods provided. Woohoo.

I don't know what I'm more excited about, the fact that I just discovered @daisygrenade or that my entire artist fit is thrifted.

I love to thrift. It's the hunt, the serotonin hit of a good deal, the fact that my body won't stop changing so why spend tons on clothes?? Oh and when you thrift you get that good cotton and linen.
