Happy October! Starting the month with a new matcha 🍵

Naoki Matcha’s Superior Blend Matcha is the easygoing one in the lineup. As a latte, it’s smooth and well-rounded with soft umami and very little bitterness. There’s a slight astringency at the end but it blends right into the milk. It’s not too intense which makes it perfect for matcha beginners ✨😌

Hope this gives you a little pause too 🍵

Got the Puppy Love sift ring and strainer from @kinustudio.ph. It looks exactly like Sulley and Nala 🥹 Paired it with their Puppy Love sift beads. Makes making matcha even more fun! Spot Sulley peeking in the reel 👀

Finally opened @shopnokori ‘s Mori which I got during their first pop-up. Medium bodied, with subtle umami, cacao notes, and naturally sweet. No bitterness!

Finally got my hands on a matcha bowl from @putikcat! Saw this butter yellow and sky blue bowl in one of their posts and have been eyeing it ever since. So lucky to have gotten it in their last drop!! 🥹🩵✨

Of course I had to try a new matcha for my new bowl! Tried the Kazoku blend from @daliasmatcha 🍵

As usucha, it’s refreshing, vegetal, nutty, with medium umami. As a latte, it’s smooth, creamy, with such a velvety microfoam, light to medium bodied but still full of flavor. The nutty notes come through even more as a latte, especially with a bit of sweetener

Savored every sip of this one! 😌

Finally tried @xundaysmatcha ‘s Koneko!! 💙 It’s naturally sweet, balanced, with a hint of edamame. I’m also a big fan of their branding and packaging! The tins even have an engraving underneath and one of them has my name on it 🥹 The attention to detail!! Will post about Noraneko next time! 🍵

The day doesn’t start until there’s matcha!! 😌

Gave @kiyomatcha ’s Ritual Grade Wakyo matcha a try. Nutty, creamy, a pleasant hint of astringency, and a rich, lingering umami. Def worth a repurchase!!
