I’m happy to *finally* share the process of designing my entry for the @fiatluxsf ring design competition ⭐️!

This ring is called the “Astra”, and it was inspired by the latin phrase “Per aspera ad astra” that translates to “through hardship to the stars”.

There were many firsts for me with this project- It was my first time working with gold, diamonds, and working in my home studio. 🏠✨

“Goin’ Home” is a collection inspired by Texas, my home state. It represents a heavily romanticized and idyllic view of western themes, and the idea of viewing a place through rose-colored glasses.

This mini collection will be available at the Scad Jewelry Trunk Show, May 16th+17th at Poetter Hall (10am-7pm). I will be posting photos of the pieces soon, keep an eye out! taken in Dallas, Texas by @madebyjuliaking
