Together, we’ll dive into the fundamentals of vocal recording, creative techniques, and glitch-based processing techniques. Whether you’re shaping melodies, layering harmonies, or bending the voice into new sonic forms, this session will unpack the workflows that turn raw vocal takes into sculpted sound. This event is open to the public and will be useful for beginner levels. Participants are required to bring a Laptop with Ableton installed, headphones, and a phone. Her early inspirations—ranging from Björk and M.I.A. to Chief Keef and Azealia Banks—shaped a sound rooted in melodic trap and experimental pop. Starting out under the moniker Alienkanye, she began self-producing and sharing tracks prolifically on SoundCloud. She co-founded THOTFUL, a DIY studio and community space supporting LGBTQ2S+ and BIPOC artists, with her sister Zuleyyma. Prado’s breakout single “Stephen” and her track “Elastic,” featured in Stella McCartney’s Paris Fashion Week show, helped position her as a boundary-pushing voice in Canada’s music scene. Currently working on her next project, PM2, Prado is preparing for more releases in 2025.
