It started with a text from Jose Morales @el_rey_de_sacra, owner of Jose Morales Boxing Academy and two pictures. One was a colored image of a Cuauhtémoc warrior with an eagle. The other was a traditional football trophy. @madeline.days13 “Grizzly” was about to become the first boxer to reach the Cuauhtémoc level in @jose_morales_boxing_academy Warrior program. Jose wanted something special to recognize that achievement. Those two pictures gave us everything we needed to get started. We knew what the warrior needed to look like, and the eagle had to be part of it. We also knew we were going well beyond that traditional trophy reference. This milestone deserved something made especially for Madeline. First came the artwork, then our first physical prototype. Holding the design in our hands let us examine the layers, engraving, and proportions and identify what needed to change. We refined the details, added the finish and gold accents, and brought everything together: a layered walnut-and-ash warrior, an illuminated acrylic eagle, a walnut base, and Madeline’s personalized engraved plate. And then came the box. We created a custom wood presentation box with a sliding lid, Madeline’s logo, and a bear detail for “Grizzly.” Inside, blue felt surrounded the trophy—and that blue just happened to match the color of the level she was reaching. From the first design to the final presentation, this project gave us something special to work toward: an award worthy of Madeline’s achievement. Congratulations, Madeline, on becoming the first to reach JMBA’s Cuauhtémoc level! We’re honored to have helped celebrate your milestone. Thank you, Jose, for trusting us with your idea and the opportunity to create something meaningful for your boxing academy and your boxer. Let's bring your vision to life is our motto! We did just that! R&D Custom Works powered by Cutting Edge Engravings Creative by Nature. As the highest-ranking warrior in our program, Madeline “Grizzly” Days stands at the Cuauhtémoc level. Named after the heroic final Aztec ruler who led his people with unyielding resistance and ultimate sacrifice, reaching this rank isn’t just about physical dominance it’s about the mental fortitude it takes to carry that name. 🛡️ The Mindset of Cuauhtémoc Unyielding resistance and ultimate sacrifice. Named after the legendary Aztec warrior-king, this level is about learning to endure suffering and make sacrifices without ever showing an ounce of weakness to your teammates. When you reach the top, pain becomes a quiet partner. True leadership means absorbing the hardest hits, standing tall when the odds are stacked against you, and proving that your spirit cannot be broken. Four years worth of national tournaments and my time finally came — and when I needed it most. It’s true when they say that God’s timing is always perfect. I won’t lie, I was not in a good place before this tournament — I struggled with the idea of competing and started to think that this wasn’t for me. I lacked motivation and confidence, but my coach, my teammates, my parents, and God helped me through it. I was beginning to think that I was letting them all down, but God met me at my lowest and brought me back by giving me something I’ve been working for years to achieve. This win isn’t just for me, it’s for everyone who believed in me when I couldn’t believe in myself. Never think that God doesn’t have a plan for you. Keep showing up, keep pushing, and trust His timing. He has a way of showing up when you need Him most. Four years later and we finally did it 🥊❤️ by @madeline.days13

I could write a whole book about the journey Grizzly took to get to this moment. Her very first boxing fight was against an open fighter (someone with more than 10 fights). For her second, she drew a girl on Team USA the officials almost didn’t approve it because of the experience gap, but I convinced them since her first fight was against an open girl. That’s been her entire career: fighting the very best, never backing down. She’s come up short, and she’s been tested in every single way possible. But my favorite thing about her is her grit. She doesn’t just accept the challenge she loves it. I love you, Grizzly. Enjoy this moment. We’re barely getting started. #HomeGrown #NationalChampion by @madeline.days13
