It’s been a little over a month Papa… and it still doesn’t feel real. It feels like just yesterday I heard you tell me you loved me, and I didn’t know that would be the last time. I keep holding onto that moment like I don’t want to let it go.

I miss you in the quiet, in the middle of my day, in little things that remind me of you. It’s a soft kind of missing, but it’s always there.

But I have peace in knowing you’re with God now.

I picture you up there, happy, free, preaching, running back and forth, and praising the Lord just like you always wanted too but couldn’t fully do here on earth. That thought makes my heart feel a little lighter and brings the biggest smile to my face.

Sometimes I wish I could hear your voice one more time, or sit with you like before, listening to your stories about your life. But I know I’ll see you again, and that promise means everything to me.
