I am beyond elated to share this continuation of my debut album with all of you. I started recording in the beginning of 2020 with no real plan, just the desire to tackle writing in a way I had never approached before. It has been a simultaneously fulfilling and grueling six years since then, and today marks the final chapter and conclusion to this album cycle. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for my support system and team of collaborators that ensured this project saw the light of day. I am filled with so much gratitude. I am inspired. i wrote this song seven years ago in the early days of being in the studio with wes & zane. it quickly became my favorite song in my discography. though this one closed out every show i’ve played in my career, i withheld releasing it because the timing never felt right. i wanted this one to have it’s moment, and self/admittedly i was too wrapped up in the idea of the “perfect release”. when working on this album with landon, we took a swing at it and the pieces finally fell into place, and things finally felt right as this being the closing track of my debut album. and now, because of the impulsive/impatient person that i am, she’s about to be yours in two weeks, ahead of the album 🤍 taken in Raleigh, North Carolina by @madelinekeyse
