It’s Friday, #Bucknell! We are all sooo close to a much needed winter break 👏👏 For my last day as ‘Ray, I want to talk about something I’ve really come to appreciate: the beauty of a Bucknell education 📚🦬 As I mentioned on Tuesday, I made the switch from Biomedical Engineering to Political Science this semester. Yep…pretty big difference 🙃 But that’s the point! Bucknell’s liberal arts experience gave me the freedom to explore what I’m actually passionate about. What really made the difference was how many administrators and professors were willing to sit down with me, ask real questions, and help me figure out where my strengths and interests actually line up. I knew three things: I want to pursue law post-graduation, study coursework that I was passionate about, and (hopefully) graduate on time. Thankfully, I will achieve all of that and more 🧡💙 And honestly, the support I received from both the College of Engineering and the College of Arts & Sciences was incredible. Being met with that much encouragement during such a big transition made me even more grateful to be part of this community! 😇😇 It was truly an honor to be able to share a little bit about my experience here at Bucknell, and I hope I portrayed even a fraction of the love I have for this school. Good morning, #Bucknell! ❄️😇🌞 Sending my absolute best to you all as we start our first day of finals 🧡💙 Today I wanted to talk about what ultimately opened up my eyes to this university: Bucknell Track & Field 🏃‍♀️🦬 For those who may not yet know, I throw javelin here, and being a member of this team has been nothing short of a blessing. During the recruiting process, I was initially impressed by the past success, facilities, and coaching staff. Now that I’m on year 3 as a BUTF athlete, I can wholeheartedly say my teammates are what make this entire experience. This team has given me a community of people who push me, support me, and show up for me on my hardest days. I’m so, so lucky! 😙 It’s so exciting to be around people who genuinely motivate me to do my best academically and athletically. The skills I have acquired as a student-athlete at a rigorous university are ones that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. From time management to discipline and learning how to show up for others, I genuinely look forward to what my professional life will look like post-graduation.
