If you hunt, then Ground Venison or ground meat in generally is most likely a staple for you! It is one of our most cooked cuts of meat but there are a few keys to getting it juicy and ready to use for all kinds of recipes 🥩🦌🫎

-always clean your meat the best you can, removing any hair and silver skin
-add in 10-20% pork shoulder to keep the meat juicy but not greasy
-cut the meat into somewhat even chunks so it can feed through the grinder nicely
-make sure your meat is partially frozen or at least really nice and cold before grinding (we also like to store the grinder parts in the freezer before using)
-make sure you are using a GOOD grinder that will result in nice even and smooth meat. Our 1.5 HP Grinder from @madewithmeat is amazing & makes the process so fast!
-always make sure you run the meat through the rough grind setting, followed by the fine grind setting a second time.

Save this post for later and send it to anyone who wants to get their meat perfect 🫡

Great jerky begins with a great marinade. This venison jerky marinade is built on bold layered flavors that penetrate deep into the meat: the savory, the sweet, the heat, the umami.
