Felt surreal partaking in a ritual I’ve always admired from afar. I guess marriage does come with its sides of perks!

Here’s to making new memories of Dugga Pujo ❤️

Jamai Shoshti is a day dedicated to Jamai (Son-In-Law) where the family celebrates and spoils them with food and way too much attention!

Special Mention :
Traditionally, it involves the son-in-law gifting his in-laws ‘fish’ which symbolizes prosperity and good fortune. But since Madhav is very much a Marwari boy, he found his own way of joining in.

Instead of bringing an actual fish, he gifted my Mumma and Mimi these beautiful fish pendants that they are now, obsessed with!

Snippets from the most emotional pre-wedding celebration for us : my Aiburo Bhaat (the last meal i eat at my parent’s house as a bachelorette) but what truly made it special was being surrounded by Madhav, our friends and the love they all bought to this humble celebration.

Our wedding, even though, very very intimate, took a year in the making. Last year exactly on this day (15th Jan 2025), our families gave our journey a stamp of approval..
Rest? Is here to witness!
