Ten years later, and my parents and I found ourselves back in Savannah together.

A place filled with old memories, familiar streets, and now, new ones waiting to be made. There’s something special about seeing a place you once knew through a different lens—especially when you get to experience it all over again with the people who were there the first time.

A little nostalgia, a little discovery, and a whole lot of memories captured on film. 🤍

What a beautiful way to start your day! Thank you @analogclubsta for putting this together! Also big shoutout to @_madyjo_ for coming out with me to celebrate your birthday. We went home with so many beautiful flowers 🤩 I ended up making cyanotypes with them afterwards. Definitely worth taking a trip out there, now go support local!

PLANET CIRCLE 🪴✨♥️

In honor of their last day, I wanted to share one of my favorite shoots from last year. Every time I wandered into the shop, I felt the vibrant colors and shapes along the walls brighten up the day around me. It was one of the coolest, most uniquely women owned local business that we all cherished. Little trinkets, gifts for friends, plants galore, and local artists work for you to check out. Their lil location was in the heart of Stockton surrounding other great local businesses. It gave a whimsical, upbeat vibe to the block. I was heartbroken when I first heard they were closing. Thank you for your beauty and your fun energy in the 3 years you all were there. Please continue to support local businesses, especially during this time in society. We must support each other ♥️

9 years, 2,504 photos later..

What an adventure working at Bellwether has been. One of our first shifts opening dinner was an Art Walk. I remember it poured down rain and we got super busy! It was one of my first solo serving shifts and I was so nervous. But we made it through and realized we could really make a difference downtown. Then we started diving into some cool shit (pardon my sheep). Wine dinners, chef takeovers, dangerously delicious happy hour, sandwich specials, show night madness, and never forget the soft serve flavors. There are many dishes I would love to enjoy again.

We went through the pandemic when no one was downtown to visit us. Only a handful of us stayed and helped with Feeding Northeast Florida. I felt like during this time the front and back of house really bonded. The owners provided food for the elderly, as well as weekly groceries and meals for the staff to take home. They ensured we were taken care of and managed any stress we experienced. Although there were plenty of stressful moments during this time, they only made me a stronger manager in the restaurant and a stronger person in my personal life. It really has shaped me and helped me evolve into the person I am today. How to deal with conflict. How to thrive in hard situations. How a lot of hard work really does pay off. And trying food I’d never considered eating turned out to be so damn good and fun!

I’m also so thankful to the people I met along the way. We started with an all-women management, and that was truly an inspiration to be a part of. I’m still very in awe of those women today and the mark they have left on me. I know towards the end a lot of people thought we were just a cute lil lunch restaurant with a great happy hour. But we were so much more than that, we were the lead sheep! We did so many incredible dishes, the craftiest of cocktails, and we always went above and beyond for our guests. Bellwether will be missed but the impact we made on people and the city itself will never be forgotten.

Ooooh wheee it’s taken me some time to get all of my photos together and summarize this summertime! It’s been absolutely wonderful and words can explain how much I’ve changed in the last year. 31 is already off to a great start in so many ways and I cannot wait to continue on this path of creating a better me. I felt so much love and support these past few months and wanted to thank those of you who have helped me get through to this next chapter.
