i have never been more blessed to be on a team. our saying has always been “one” we’re one, we play as one, we win as one, and we lose as one. this past week we definitely showed that. after having a rocky start in pool play we came out in bracket and gave it our all for every single pitch. i’m going to forever cherish all of these memories with the girls. i’m so beyond sad that we don’t get one more season together but im glad we ended it the way we did. they showed me that softball is more than just a sport and that it’s about the memories and friendships you make along the way. i know all my girls have bright futures ahead of them and im so glad that i got to play behind them. this is the best team i could’ve ever play for. thank you to the coaches for pushing me harder and harder everyday and making me a better athlete, person, and christian. thank you to my teammates for always having my back, making me laugh all the time, making me feel like i’m worth something, and letting me know that i am who i am. a special thank you to all the girls aging out. thank you heidi for being my person, you were always there for me always had my back and you always let me know that i got this. thank you to kk for always being your goofy self, you always had my back, on and off the field, the energy you brought to the team will forever miss what you brought to the table. thank you to laila, from 12u to now you’ve always been the best teammate, you showed up and supported me throughout it all even in high school ball and i’m so proud of you and i’m so glad i got to watch you become the person you are. thank you to mya, you always had a smile on your face and brought lots of positivity to our team i’m greatful that we will still be able to play against each other in high school ball and i know you have a bright future ahead of you. this season will be remembered forever not just because of the wins but because of the memories we made throughout. i love each and every one of yall so much and im looking forward to see what the future holds for us💕 taken in Ruston Sports Complex by @madiann08

i put off making this post because i cannot wrap my head around the fact that the season is over. this season flew by even though in reality we played for so long, from January when we first got back from christmas break to this past saturday right after we got out of school. there’s been so many memories made and i have been so blessed for being able to call all these girls family. i want to thank all three of the seniors for being my people this season. thank you for taking me in and looking at me as more than just a sophomore. i truly am so grateful for all three of you and saying goodbye to yall is definitely the hardest. yall are truly the best friends, teammates, and people ever. i’m so glad that we got to play these two past seasons together and im so sad we don’t have anymore. i’m so proud of each and everyone of you. the season may have not ended the way we wanted it to but im so glad i got to play next to all of my favorite people. all of the memories made will be cherished for life. #betheblessing by @madiann08
