blinked and we have a 6 month old 🤍 time has absolutely flownnnnn by, even quicker with the second & it’s kinda terrifying.

chapel is our angel boy. so sweet, chill, and THE smiliest baby in the world. sleep hasn’t been our favorite thing for the last 2 months but it’s okay, just more time to hangout with mom & dad in the middle of the night !!! and no one makes him laugh as hard as his big brother.

here’s your sign to have the second baby ❤️‍🩹

Everyone told me how much harder it would be going from one baby to two.

And in a lot of ways, it is.

But what I found impossible to believe is how healing the second newborn season can be.

The second time around, I know the sleepless nights are temporary. I know the contact naps won’t last forever. I know the cluster feeding, the witching hour, the endless rocking and bouncing eventually become memories I wish I could revisit.

The first time, I was constantly wondering if I was doing it right.

The second time, I’m able to be present.

Not because it’s easier, but because I’ve learned to trust myself.

There are still hard days. There are still tears. There is still exhaustion.

But this time, there’s also perspective.

And that has made all the difference. 🤍 by @madiibuck
