Happy Maundy Thursday!🍇

Yesterday, April 1st (no, this isn’t a joke), I got baptized and gave my life to Christ. I’m so excited and so grateful for how far I’ve grown since truly understanding Him and committing to learn more about Him every day.

Over the past year, the Lord has completely transformed my life. After growing closer to God again in December 2024, I went to a Young Life weekend camp, and it was there that I decided I wanted to keep living for Him.

I’m so grateful for the people God has placed in my life, but also for the ones He’s removed because through that He’s shown me what real love and true friendship really look like 💐💌 by @madiipatti

A love letter to DM💌

Dance Marathon has truly been one of the most meaningful parts of my high school experience. It’s so much more than just a club, it's a cause that’s bigger than any one person. I’m so grateful I got to be part of something that brings so much love, joy, and purpose into people’s lives.

I attended my first Mini DM freshman year, and that same year I went to my first main event helping my mom sponsor the event for UFDM. Back then, I was just someone in the crowd supporting the cause. I had no idea how much it would end up meaning to me. It’s kind of crazy to think about how full circle this feels; going from sponsoring the event as a freshman to now being someone who actively helps raise money for it.

When I officially joined junior year, that’s when it really became personal. I realized DM isn’t just about fundraising. It’s about showing up for kids and families, working together, and choosing to care. Last year I raised $800, and this year, as Senior Representative, I raised $1,300. I also hit Comma Club for the first time this year, which means so much to me. I’ve always looked up to the people who reached that goal, so being able to accomplish it myself just made this senior year even more special . I’m just so excited and thankful I got to experience that.

And to Avery,

You have been such a light throughout this entire journey. The way you lead and pour your heart into DM is so inspiring. You’ve helped raise so much money these past two years, but more than that, you’ve helped lift everyone around you. I truly don’t think I could have done this without you and your support. Thank you for guiding me, encouraging me, and believing in me even when I doubted myself.

You are going to do incredible things at UF, and you will always be better and stronger than anyone who tries to bring you down. I can’t wait to watch you continue to blossom and grow into the person you’re already becoming. The way you care about people and dedicate yourself to helping others is so special, it’s honestly so sweet to watch. I’m endlessly proud of you. 🧡💙 by @madiipatti
