Y’all!!! This VERY QUICK trip to Atlanta was so beyond worth it! Not only did I get to see this beautiful play about the Recycled Orchestra from Catuera, Paraguay (GO SEE IT! I just know it will soon be on Broadway! I can also totally see it being at @themuny one day). But I also finally got to meet and hug the Estefan’s. @gloriaestefan and @emily_estefan have been such a big part of my life, especially these last few years and it meant so much to me when they were both so excited to finally meet in person. To hear Gloria tell me how SHE loves ME was the icing on the cake. I will be riding this high for a long time! More to come but I need to get back on the road home. @basuramusical @alliancetheatre by @madijayne

This video was sent to me by two Conga fans. I am still reeling from last weekend when I finally got to hug and meet @gloriaestefan. The level of excitement she and her daughter @emily_estefan showed me when I met them lit my heart up! Here, Gloria was telling me that I was “fucking insane” for driving 19 hours to see their show (I drove 10 hours there and 9 hours home the next day). She was shocked by how tall I was—we were both in heels but she’s 5’ and I’m 5’8. During the second hug, was also telling me incredibly nice things and thanking me for the love and support throughout the years. I wanted to tell her the same as she has truly helped me, beyond just her music, with some very dark moments, but you see how many people were standing around waiting. My brain also just completely shut down and said LISTEN TO HER! She truly makes you feel like more than just a fan, she makes you feel like a friend, even family. I just hope to have more moments like this in the future. Thank you Glorita for all you do for all of us. Mucho amor, besos y abrazos! ❤️💃🏻 taken in Atlanta, GA by @madijayne

I think I’ve watched this a hundred times already! @gloriaestefan wishing me a happy birthday and asking how old I’ll be (37) and telling me I’m still a baby. 😜😜 What a way to celebrate! ❤️⭐️♊️

Everyone usually goes to Forest Park for the museums, the zoo, The Muny, fountains at the Grand Basin, Shakespeare in the Park, the World’s Fair Pavilion, The Jewel Box, or even the golf courses (there are 3 9-hole courses). But did you know that it’s also home to the John F. Kennedy Memorial Forest? I didn’t until today. It has paved, gravel, and natural paths to walk with several foot bridges over small creeks. It was really serene and relaxing. I didn’t hear much except for the animals walking, chirping, and slithering around. Some that I saw were squirrels, a rabbit, baby garden snake, and some sort of large rodent running away from me. I couldn’t tell if it was a giant raccoon or maybe a beaver or groundhog. I’ll tell you it was at least 2-3 times the size of Hazel who is circling 20 lbs. The fourth photo is the path I THINK I took because the natural paths are not on the map. It probably took me about an hour to do the whole thing. I will definitely return this fall when it’s not 9000 degrees outside! taken in John F Kennedy Memorial Forest by @madijayne
