In preparation for my residency at @slough_farm_mv I created a zine for beginner quilters. As my main project for the week, I started a quilt based on the watercolor painting on the back cover. 720 flying geese later, this is the first quilt pattern I have designed myself. I used @fableism sprout wovens for the quilt top, and naturally dyed fabrics from my residency for the backing (thank you @prinvangulden !) by @madijillstudios

My humble attempts at menswear, continuing my theme of quilting, knitwear, and creation for the sake of creation. I made two drop sleeve jacquard sweaters, featuring a quilty sawtooth star pattern, and some checkered fish. I played with multiple yarns to achieve different textures, trying to simulate the stitching of a quilt top. The jacket features more intricate quilt piecing on the pockets and back yoke, using up scraps from my fabric stash. Thank you Mason and Ryan <3 by @madijillstudios

A Labor of Love; a combination of quilt and knit exploration for @cornellfashioncollective Both tops were designed and knit by me on an industrial knitting machine. I used thrifted and scrap fabrics to piece the skirts together, exploring curved seams and diagonal piecing. Thank you Merel and Willa for bringing my vision to life! by @madijillstudios
