The last 72 hours has been one of the most incredible experiences I have ever been able to be a part of. It was hard, cold, and wet, but was also the most fun race I’ve ever competed in. I had an amazing time riding and meeting so many different people, bonding over the rough terrain and beautiful scenery of the @northamericanendurocup. It was so awesome to ride out with the entire junior girls category, and we had a great time riding together!

Us GRiT Ambassadors, @ninagramkowski_mtb and @madijo.mtb, led a successful GRiT event last Saturday! We had a very fun pajama party for the girls currently on NICA NorCal teams in our area, with snacks and friendship bracelet making.
We watched @laelwilcox ‘s film, Lael Rides Around the World, an incredibly empowering film for women and girls, bike riders or not. We also watched some videos about other women in the mountain biking, like the women of rampage and Kate Courtney.

We are incredibly thankful for the support of our amazing female coaches, @ceci_beale and Jackie Fogerty, as well as the @shesendsfoundation for making it possible for us to connect to girls from as far away as Gilroy!
It was very fun, although awkward at first, everyone warmed up to each other and the newer girls on our team go to bond with returning members. We can’t wait to see what fun this season brings! by @madijo.mtb

Had a super awesome time racing my favorite race, @ca_enduro series at Ashland! Crashed pretty hard immediately after the stage end on 1, but managed to keep it together for the rest of the race. 2nd place 🥈 and 3rd season overall!!

Raced my first race in the Pro cat at China Peak and placed 4th!! I struggled with the elevation and nausea during the weekend, but kept it together. Stage five was dusty and loose, crashed pretty bad and cracked my helmet. I lost a lot of time but I was able to get up and ride the rest of the stage. It was a tough race, but it’s always awesome with the ladies 💅

Hello! My name is Madi, I am a sophomore at San Lorenzo Valley High School. This is my fourth year racing Santa Cruz Mountains Cycling Team. I fell in love with the community of the NorCal League and mountain biking when I joined in 7th grade, and I have been racing since then. I love cross country racing but I also love being able to hang out with my teams and friends in so many awesome places. I have met some of my best friends through the mountain biking community and I’m super excited to be a bigger part of the NorCal GRiT program this year! I hope to bring more girls from my community into the program and to strengthen the community of strong girls in the NorCal NICA league.

I really enjoyed my first year of being a GRiT ambassador. It was so fufilling to see the impact that we had on so many girls this year. I loved being able to tell people about our program when they asked about it, and it was incredible being able to work with so many amazing people. Even though I and my collaborating amassador had few girls to participate in our events, we had a super awesome time bonding together. This year, I and Nina had a movie night where we watched short films about women in biking with many other girls, as well as bedazzled helmets with the girls on our team. This season was super cool to see what impact we can have on others, and I look foward to the future! by @madijo.mtb

Had a really great time racing at Stafford Lake this weekend, the course was a quite hilly, which killed me. Got 6th, and 5th overall for the season! Can’t wait to race at champs!

Had a lot of fun today racing the @seaotterclassic Fuego XC! Placed 8th in JV, it was really nice to start in the morning ahead of the heat, and I had a lot of fun racing with so many amazing girls.
