God moved powerfully this week in the Dominican Republic! I feel incredibly blessed to have witnessed countless gospel conversations and answered prayers. The people of the DR have once again burned a hole in my heart.

Throughout the week, we packed food for sponsorship distribution and delivered hygiene kits to families in their homes. Each afternoon, we hosted a VBS for around 150 children. It was full of laughter, joy, and the love of Jesus. Every moment was rich with connection.

One of the most meaningful parts of the trip was meeting my first sponsor child. We shared lunch and danced together every day. On our final day, the Lord stirred my heart to sponsor another child. I know that as their physical needs are met, God is also laying the foundation for deep spiritual growth.

Resounding Joy

My third trip to the Dominican Republic, and somehow my heart only grows more full each time. Our team experienced joy in so many ways this week. Joy in the relationships we built, the laughter we shared, the challenges we navigated together, the meals we shared, and the moments we got to witness God working in the lives of others. We were reminded that joy doesn’t mean everything is easy or perfect. It means knowing that God is present in every moment, the beautiful and the difficult.

The sweetest part of the trip was witnessing my sponsor girl accept Jesus into her heart. A moment I will carry with me forever and a reminder that, at the end of the day, there is no greater joy than seeing someone come to know Jesus.

I’m still learning that the joy of the Lord truly is our strength. So grateful for the people, the purpose, and the privilege of being part of what God is doing in the Dominican Republic. Hasta la próxima.

A little over a year later, and my heart is still in the Dominican Republic. 🇩🇴

I still think about the people I met, the conversations I had, and the ways I watched God move. My last two trips changed me in more ways than I can explain, and they only made me fall more in love with the people of the DR and with God’s heart for the nations.

I’m so excited to share that I’ll be heading back this October for my third mission trip! This trip is extra special because I get to lead a team from my home church. It is such a gift to watch God call people to go, and I can’t wait to see what He does in each of our hearts as we serve together.

Throughout the week, we’ll be delivering food and hygiene supplies, visiting families in their homes, leading VBS for hundreds of kids, and building relationships. Please be praying that the Lord would prepare hearts, strengthen our team, and use us however He sees fit.

I’m going back to the place that holds a piece of my heart!!!!! Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would return… BUT GOD! This announcement feels like a beautiful testament to God’s faithfulness.

When I served with One More Child in the Dominican Republic in 2024, I left a piece of my heart there. As I think about returning, that joy has only multiplied. The people, the culture, and the love have all become an integral part of who I am. I feel honored and privileged to be His hands and feet in this place, and I cannot wait to see what He will do in and through our team during this trip.

As I prepare for this trip, I humbly ask for your support in two ways- through prayer and giving. Some specific prayer requests: God’s guidance and provision along every step, an outpouring of blessings on each person we will encounter, and for lives to be forever changed. The total trip cost is $2,000- a big cost which I am praying to fully fundraise by May 20th. If you feel led to contribute financially, any amount is greatly appreciated and will directly support me in going back to the DR.
