Happy world cerebral palsy day!💚 I’ve spent a lot of my life thinking about what cerebral has taken from me. But as time went on I realized that my disability doesn’t define me and I shouldn’t use it as an “excuse” to hold me back. My disability isn’t something I have to overcome to be “normal”. It made me who I am. It shaped my perspective, my empathy, and my drive. I’m proud of my disability. Proud of the person I’ve become because of it. Proud of the way I’ve accepted my disability instead of being embarrassed. And I am Proud of the way I use my disability to advocate for others. I am thankful for my disability and how it shaped me and for welcoming me up to a world of possibilities. Happy world cerebral palsy day to everyone all who celebrate! Be proud of your disability, and don’t let it define you! #worldcerebralpalsyday #cerebralpalsy #stroke by @madison.hahs
