Last night I was in the middle of this song when I just got SO overwhelmed with gratitude for all that God is and all that God has done for me. Posting this is honestly scary, but I really feel the Lord asking me to, so here we are :)
I thank God that He calls me His daughter and His friend. I thank God that my life is no longer mine but His. I thank God that even though I am Gomer, broken and sinful, He loves me as Hosea loved Gomer: unconditionally and with so much grace and mercy. I thank God that I get to talk about Him and His perfect love on social media! That I get to throw up my hands and fall to my knees in reverent worship. That I’m able to pursue Him openly without fear of persecution. That His love for me is not contingent on good deeds or sets of rules but on faith in Him alone. I thank God for every yes and every no and every not yet that He’s ever given me. I thank God for the gift of life on this side of heaven and for a joy that only He could give me! I will sing your praises forever. by @madison.king25

just me + z ❤️

a couple weeks ago i got a call that zira was sick. last wednesday i got a second call that she was gone. i didn’t get a last hug, i didn’t even get a facetime… she was just gone. i can’t begin to describe how heartbroken i was and still am. i hate that i didn’t get more time with her and i hate the idea of going home in august and her not waiting at the door for me. but despite all of that, i am SO grateful for the 7 years i got with my sweet Z. i am grateful for all of the cuddles, jeep rides, and laughs. Z was unlike any dog i’ve never known in the best way; she was so stubborn yet so full of love. she was and always will be my very best girl! by @madison.king25

that’s a wrap on my parks and rec era!

i BEGGED to be in sites and man i am so grateful they gave me a chance. i had so much fun, learned sooo much, and most importantly, saw the Lord in new ways. forever looking back on the past 5 months joyfully! by @madison.king25
