Somehow racing has made me a better person.

I’ve learned to challenge my fears head on, but in doing that I’ve also been scared, made mistakes and wondered what comes next.

Two years ago, I started over at 29 with 4 little ones looking up to me. I’m proud of where I am, but I’m still figuring things out.

Doesn’t it always look like everyone around you has it together?

In less than 2 years of riding a motorcycle, I’ve made my fair share of errors. But at the same time, I’ve always been humble about this journey knowing there is always room for improvement. I think that’s why I’ve managed to cut my time significantly in such a short time.

I remember my first day in novice at COTA, I was riding at a 3:55 pace, knowing nothing. I was made fun of, of course.

But I promise you, the work you put behind closed doors will propel you to exactly where you want to be.

Still improving, and still have room to grow. 🤞🏼❤️‍🔥

Got my racing license this weekend at Eagles Canyon Raceway in less than 2 years of riding.

This was the first time I’ve ever been to this track and it 100% tested me mentally.

I definitely was ALOT slower the first two days, so slow that I felt defeated.

But by the third day I was cutting my times and feeling like me again. Thanks to my brother for the tough-love encouragement.

This is only the beginning. 🤍

Dear Single Moms,

I think moms in general all have this similar mindset where we absolutely refuse to break the moment life gets tough. We actually thrive in pressure and evolve when nothing seems to be going the way we planned it.

I often get the comment “you’re so fearless” and it’s actually the opposite. I’m scared. And I’m scared truly about everything. But this sport forces me to bury the weakest parts of me.

I’m scared, but sometimes it’s okay to be scared, just GO and don’t look back.

Everyone has a story of how life got so hard it brought you to your knees. But how great is it to look back and be like “damn, I did that.”

2:34.86 on the 2024 Ducati V4R at the last @doublerfest at COTA.

Less than 2 years of riding and already hitting the 2:30s at one of the greatest tracks in the world. The work is definitely paying off.

A few things we worked on:
▪️Understanding & utilizing traction control
▪️Corrected BP before braking (butt first then brake)
▪️Driving the bike out of the corner
▪️Being smoother and more intentional with inputs

Little bike struggles? 🫩🫩 but tbh being on a smaller bike is going to help you maximize your skill. I recently rode a Ducati V4 and was clearly faster bc the bike is overall faster lol, but I ended up riding faster than some of my guy friends who’ve been on a faster bike longer. So a smaller bike is definitely worth it, even when they blow past you on the straights 😂

Dragging knee on a Ducati V4 is surreal

Started off strong, new PR, stayed consistent my first day, was looking like one of the best track weekends so far, until day 2, I low sided on the rs660 at turn 1 and unfortunately got ran over.

All is well, I got back on the V4 to finish the day, slower, but wanted to finish on a good note.

As a coach to little ones, I often tell them no matter what there will be people who have something negative to say. But the most important thing you can do is to be willing to learn and to believe what you’re capable of doing.

For newer riders:
☑️ trail braking means applying most of your brake pressure while the bike is upright
☑️ then gradually releasing it as you lean into the turn.
☑️ the more lean you add, the more brake pressure you release until you’re fully off the brakes near the apex and ready to accelerate out.

I use to coast through the turns, but now I’ve found myself braking harder into the turn and as soon as I meet the apex I’m off the brake. Which has allowed me to cut my times significantly.

One thing I think I could’ve done better was getting on the throttle a little sooner and staying on it. I let off briefly to adjust my grip before going full throttle, especially since this turn leads onto a straight.

The best part of this sport is being face to face with fear.

All my life I was hesitant, but this sport forces me to push past every fear that’s ever held me back.

Leveled up to experienced, broke PR. Not all about speed, but it shows the results of the training no one sees

Still have plenty of room for improvement, but I’ll get there 😈
