I’ve never really shared this part of my story on here, but with it being one year since my second endometriosis surgery and two years since my first, it feels like the right time.

I was diagnosed with stage four endometriosis and adenomyosis, and over the past two years I’ve had two surgeries to treat it. Countless cysts and lesions, along with areas where inflammation had caused my organs to stick together, were found along the way. During my most recent surgery, almost 20 lesions were removed.

Endometriosis is something that has affected so much of my life, but one of the hardest parts was knowing it could affect my fertility. Even when I wasn’t ready to have a baby, it was always something in the back of my mind.

My second surgery last September was about more than treating the pain and disease I had been living with. A huge part of it was giving myself the best chance at becoming a mom.

And now, exactly one year later, I’m sitting here with my two week old baby.

It’s hard to put into words how crazy that feels. Last September, I was recovering from surgery and hoping that one day I would get to experience this. This September, I’m experiencing it.

After everything endometriosis put me through, getting to hold the baby I always hoped I’d have feels like the biggest full-circle moment🤍

One year ago today, Aaron planned the most thoughtful, perfect surprise and asked me to marry him 🤍 It was truly my dream proposal! every detail, every moment, I’ll never forget.

It’s crazy how much life can change in a year… now we’ve been married for almost 6 months and we’re getting ready to welcome our baby girl into the world 🥹✨
