4 years ago i embarked on my journey to a college degree as a first generation student. Through 3 major changes, countless heartbreaks, sleepless nights, and the most joyous memories, I finally accomplished this in a system that wasn’t designed to help me succeed.

Virginia Tech, you have taught me so many things. You taught me to persevere through the hard times, enjoy the little things, really take in the moment, and to show empathy when it seems like the world is lacking. While my 4 years here haven’t been the easiest, I have learned to make it my own experience. Using my final semester to truly find myself, happiness, and enjoying what it means to be authentically me.

With that being said, I’m excited to step into my new journey and cannot wait to see where the world takes me next.

Thank you Virginia Tech, but an extended thank you to the family, friends, and even just the passerby’s that helped me in my lows and highs 🦃🧡.
