hanging up the cleats 🤍

This sport has given me more than I could’ve asked for. I found my best friends, a lifetime of memories, and a new appreciation for good weather(knee problems iykyk). I look back at the 19 years I spent playing and I am only grateful. Grateful for the good along with the adversity and challenges. I’m grateful for the loses, injuries, nay-saying coaches, and surgeries for those experiences showed me just how much strength I have to overcome. And how a group of people can come together to defy odds for the love of the game and for the love of one another. I’m so thankful for this experience and I couldn’t have done this without my family, teammates, and coaches.

THANK YOU to my parents and family who supported me through all the highs and lows and for being my rock through it all.

THANK YOU to my PT’s, AT’s, and my knee surgeon, Dr. Key for always getting me back healthy every single time.

THANK YOU to every single one of my teammates. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without the amazing woman I meet along the way.

THANK YOU soccer for showing me what it takes to believe in myself and in the process.

I close this chapter, but am so excited for the next one. I will be attending KU Medical for my Doctorate in Physical Therapy this upcoming May!!
I am forever blessed for this journey.
