Pas de Deux was accepted into its first film festival outside of George Mason :’) So, of course, I had to travel the 400 miles up to Massachusetts to attend. And, I was lucky enough to have done it with my mommm <33

It was such a beautiful road trip to take, especially as fall was starting to roll in. I met so many wonderfully talented young filmmakers and got to hear from such inspiring creatives with such precious insight. I was also able to watch a stunning film from Sundance called “Tendaberry” written and directed by Haley Elizabeth Anderson (who I got to meet and is so lovely) that is so beautifully tragic (please go watch).
The festival coordinators and volunteers did a wonderful job, and were so welcoming. I highly recommend keeping a look out for this festival on film freeway for its next submission window!! I left feeling so inspired and know so many of you would enjoy the experience as much as I did… even if your lunch is cold ravioli from a can 2 days in a row because most of your budget went to the traveling itself. And even then, those moments will make your trip that much more meangingful 💌

“Soon to be, Soon to be!
The busy buzzing in my ear won’t ring.
No, I won’t hear it on the other side of things”

…is a poem I wrote a few months ago to help me through my final stretch as a college student. When I realized I had an opportunity to put something on my cap, I knew it had to be (most of) this poem. Thank you so much @eegshellz for decorating it for me 🤍

I am so eternally grateful to have had such wonderful examples of strong work ethic and love within my family and circle of loved ones. Working 2-3 jobs at a time to pay for this degree, while getting said degree, was/is such a humbling challenge. Through all the “buzzing” within these last few years, your examples of goodness and support have been so motivating; your tenderness has been so healing. My work and accomplishments are a reflection of your influences. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping me get to “the other side of things.” I love you all 💜
