Jimmy & I got our brown belts yesterday… on his birthday 🤎 I thought it was just his day, but nope!!!! I was completely blindsided 😂 I was just starting to feel like a purple belt and then boom!!! BROWN BELT!!!

So thankful for everyone who’s trained with us over the years, and especially Professor Brian for always supporting us, being patient, and welcoming our whole family on and off the mats.

From underground jiujitsu during COVID to training through pregnancy, grad school, and raising jiujitsu kids who train alongside us 🤎…… it’s been such a journey.

Grateful for every bit of it 🙏🏽🥋 @morizijiujitsu by @madrigalj01

Theo Von said my hair was beautiful last night— So I’m basically famous now 💁🏽‍♀️ —. Rene Vaca tried to steal my husband (they almost kissed)—sir, please. And Lucy got her car window smashed right after Matt Rife……

Some of my most memorable dates with my lover & friends 🤎 by @madrigalj01

Challenged myself this morning and did a 10K with maximum effort. Supporting a good cause (our military veterans). I am extremely proud of myself for pushing outside of my comfort zone. I don’t normally go outside my box… the race was short .2 miles… so add 1 minute 40 seconds to my time 🤣 (55:18). Thanks to @12georgiee23 for the video of me finishing and the invite. Thanks to @el_skeeterm35 for pacing me and showing me that I’m faster than I think… I was running 3 seconds slower than my PR 5K but for a 10K. Thanks @a_madrigal19 for telling me to sign up and do it !!! #imarunnerimatrackstar#cloudmonster2#hybridathlete#lolhashtags#fitaf#dadbod#LFG# by @madrigalj01

Hurricane Beryl delayed our return home, so we were able to make it to 🥋. Thank you @artesuavecr506 for letting us drop in on short notice since we thought we were by another academy 🤣. Gracias Professor Ricardo #jiujitsu#costarica#artesuave#morizijiujitsuinCR by @madrigalj01

I am extremely proud of myself. Statistically I’m not supposed to be here. 8% 🔥🔥🔥🔥…All the trials and tribulations that I have encountered in the last 7 years…I could have quit, should have quit, but I didn’t. Thanks to my supportive wife 🦄 because we didn’t kill each other 😂😂😂#masteredit by @madrigalj01

Term 1 of 4 complete. Jimmy 8 years ago would never have believed that I’d leave Lamb Weston, go to prison for 5 years, and then become an educator. Now, I’m an educator working on obtaining a graduate degree. Less than 20% of Latinos have a grad degree; to put this into perspective. I am extremely proud of myself. #graduateschool#wgu#2025#proud#prisonjoke by @madrigalj01

Thank you for having us drop in on such short notice. If you live in the Yakima area, I definitely recommend @bittencourt_jiujitsu . Atmosphere and instruction is 🔥. #jiujitsu#brazilianjiujitsu#workout by @madrigalj01
