Been doing a lot of cool stuff for pinkshift lately, so I've been reviewing the old archives a lot. Throwback to the poster series I made for them back in 2021.

At the time, I was still growing into this line heavy style that I use today so it's kinda crazy how well they hold up to my very critical eye lol by @mads_schubert

Every so often I like to go back in the archive and redraw something to see how my style develops over the years. I have a running portrait series of one of my OG little freaks, Gaara from Naruto.

It's always a bit embarrassing to look back at old work, but it really puts things into perspective on how I've grown as an artist both technically and conceptually.

The ability to make art is a skill that can be learned like anything else, all that's really needed is time and a bit of obsession by @mads_schubert

I'm fairly bad about appropriately scheduling things to come out in specific times of the year so apologies for getting this out like...half way through pride month 💀

A couple weeks ago @thedeepend.li released their latest EP "Nobody's Home" and I was lucky enough to make a really awesome series of artworks for their album cover as well as a bunch of singles they put out.

It makes for such a cool visual experience to see them all together. Thanks again to the TDE guys for the awesome opportunity to flex my illustration and art direction skills ❤️ by @mads_schubert

Part 11 in my weekly poster series for 2026

Throughout this process I kinda never feel completely satisfied with a final piece. More often than not there's always just...something off about each poster. Not sure if it's the perfectionist in me or maybe I'm just still growing as a creative. Perhaps a bit of both? by @mads_schubert

Back in 2021 I got my freelancing start with a little band called @pinkshiftmd, making art for their first EP, Saccharine. It was my first time working with musicians and my very first album project ever.

Now, 5 years later, I get to revisit this project as a full time freelancer with more than 15 album projects under my belt and 30+ musician clients over the years. Truly I have my entire career because of this project and it's very special to get the chance to revisit it with some new artwork.

So, here's the latest gig poster created for Pinkshift and their upcoming Saccharine anniversary tour. by @mads_schubert
