Hello friends!!! As many of you know, I’ve been unemployed all summer and have had no hits up until literally yesterday!! I was hired for a temporary job that will last until Nov 3. I have no savings and my family is unable to help me make rent this month. I’ll be throwing a last minute rent party that will double as a garage sale and a vegan bake sale — this SUNDAY! 9-3. I know there’s great community events going on Sunday, so if you want to come say hey, get a treat, buy some vintage/preloved clothes, peruse our standard garage sale items, or donate to one of the QR codes with the word “mad” <3 any way you’re able to show up means the very most to me! Dm/comment for questions and if you have anything you’d like to donate for me to sell— hit me up<3 see yall this weekend Long Beach!!!! by @madtopp

BEST EARLY BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVERRRRRR ❤️‍🔥🤠 thank you so much mom for taking me to Orville Peck’s 7th annual rodeo! It was so fun, even in the rain. The desert smelled sooooo good and the vibes were immaculate. I love you and am so excited to turn 30 in less than 2 weeks. Thanks for loving me for 30 whole years, mom! One by one: 1) Mom and I 🥲 2) “Hello, I’m Orville Peck” 3) Alynda Segarra from Hurray For the Riff Raff, my mom and i’s favorite band. And both of our 3rd time seeing them! 4) Palmyra Band, who were so good and such a great surprise and now a new fav band. Sweet queer joy 5) myself (in a reprised version of the outfit I wore the first time I saw Orville play) and the Orville Peck decked out van lol 6) Bronco by Orville Peck and the last song he played! 7) CHEF MIKE!!! And myself :,-) I didn’t get to say goodbye to him when he left our job and he saw me in the crowd and ran over to say hi 😭 one of my brightest highlights of the weekend for me. 8) The man, the cowboy, the crooner 9) NOAH CYRUS and Orville singing one of their duets together and wow if I wasn’t a Noah Cyrus fan before, I certainly am now. 10) Mom and I being cute 11) Orville singing Maybe This Time from Cabaret 🤯🤯🤯 12) myself watching Emily Rose and the rounders in the drizzling rain 13) lil inflatable horse 🐴❤️ 14) had to show off my makeup and the details of my look 🫣 15) some cuties at the back of the crowd dancing 🥰 16) Mom and I both looking away and looking so darn cute 💕 17) Orville covering All My Exes Live in Texas 🥹😝 18) the Hurray For the Riff Raff set list which I did indeed snag 🫣🫣 19) a throwback pic of the first time I saw Orville Peck 6 years ago after the release of his first album, Pony. At the Moroccan Lounge in LA. He walked out and I gave him a ciggy and lit it for him as he moved the fringe away from his mouth. The show was intimate and beautiful and Orville himself couldn’t have been kinder. His beautiful energy and amazing talent cemented me as a life long super fan. And here’s my outfit that I reprised for this show :,-) this was my fourth time seeing Mr. Orville Peck and I can’t wait for the next time 🐴🤠🐄🎸🥲❤️‍🔥 by @madtopp

Pic for the @lg0 ~~ “This is a life seen by life. I may not have meaning but it is the same lack of meaning that the pulsing vein has” - Clarice Lispector ~~ I will not sit idly by and watch a genocide unfold for 87 days and celebrate a new year tonight. The horror has been unceasing. We are at a pivotal moment in history and I want to know where we all stand— if we stand with the people or if we stand with the state? The holiday season has served the state as a distraction to the ongoing atrocities being perpetrated boastfully by israhell and the us. I urge you all to continue to engage, protest, boycott, read, learn, post about 🍉 this world is better than what the US empire has brainwashed us into believing— we are not individuals, we are all part of the same pulsing vein of life. We are one together. The earth bears witness to the most devious crimes perpetrated by greedy men hoarding and massacring her people. We people bear witness as well. Don’t let it be for nothing. Book of Genesis by Amal Dunqul translated by Robin Moger 🕊️ i wanted to share this poetry i came across tonight while reading Rifqa by Mohammed El Kurd. He references Amal Dunqul a handful of times throughout the collection. It was clear to me that El Kurd was influenced by Dunqul, so I wanted to read his writing for myself. I found this collection really beautiful <3 I love reading as resistance, poetry as resistance, and what we can learn from every book we pick up, the places the author can take us. 🌹❤️🕊️ by @madtopp
Amidst personal grief and another death in the family, I cannot stop seeing the thread that connects us all. Grief, death, and mourning are among us now more than ever. We must not give up, we must continue to fight for a better world in which we all exist together in harmony with the earth, we must not give in under the pressure capitalism places on our shoulders, we must not give in to the status quo, but instead to give in to LOVE, to give in to the power of people united together, to revolution. “Let me just say: Peace to you, if you're willing to fight for it.” Fred Hampton by @madtopp
As the genocide continues on and the likelihood of al-Quds Hospital —which is currently housing 14,000 displaced Palestinians as well as many many injured patients— being targeted next continues to seem more and more likely I thought I would make another hard post in the hopes of reaching at least one or two people that I haven’t reached yet. Please, PLEASE, it is never too late to change your mind, to educate yourself and understand the way the media and the government are LYING to us, blatantly lying, and are complicit in the Genocide of at least 9,000 Palestinians so far. If you’re still not sure and need some resources— again I IMPLORE you to reach out to me. This is the time to speak up. I am pleading with you to read books like The 100 Years War on Palestine, Palestinian Walks in particular if you need to humanize and empathize Palestinians. Palestinian Walks will make you feel like Palestinians are your family and it will break your heart over and over again, you will be able to see the hills, the olive trees, the streams, the wadi’s, the shepherds, the Bedouins, the life and the living that all people are entitled to. I need you to take a step back from your “normal” and understand that in the future you will be forced to reckon with the Palestinian genocide. When you’ve wondered how we could’ve let something like the Holocaust happen and you’ve been silent online or in real life about what’s happening in Palestine, you are letting the genocide happen. Anyone have any insight on what bank I can switch to that is not funding the genocide? I currently have @wellsfargo and I want nothing to do with them as they fund genocide. If you’re struggling to engage with Free Palestine content on your feed and posting as if everything is normal when it’s absolutely not, I urge you to take a moment and look through my stories and read @take.back.theinternet ‘s words on this post. My dms are open and I can send you many resources if you’re ready to learn. Please please call your representative if you haven’t already! I have @robertgarcialb two phone numbers in this post. I urge you all to sit with your feelings of discomfort and consider why you’d rather stay silent on this subject (a genocide). Free Palestine 🇵🇸🍉 from the river to the sea Palestine will be free 🇵🇸🍉✊🏻🕊️ by @madtopp
