Hi there! I’m Alicia. Otherwise known as Madtown Momma.

I’m a 40-something, full-time workin’ mom with 9-year old and 46-year old boys living in Madison, WI. 😜

Creating content is my side hustle.

I love showcasing my fashion finds and Midwesty lifestyle through my account, along with small, local, and women-owned businesses.

Craft coffee is my love language and regardless of how hard I try, I drop food on my clothes daily.

If this sounds like you too, let’s be friends!

Coming at you live from @divineconsignsalewi! #sponsored

Divine Consign is the largest consignment sale for women and teens in Wisconsin.

They have packed three full rooms at the Waukesha County Expo Center with new and gently used clothing and accessories for a wide range of sizes!

And new items hit the sales floor daily.

The public sale officially kicks off tomorrow, November 3rd at 9am and runs throughout Saturday at 2pm.

This consignment sale only pops up four times per year. Twice in the spring and twice in the fall.

This is the last sale until spring.

Check out the hours online at divineconsignsale.com.

And grab your girlfriends and hit the road before the sale ends or you’ll have to wait until next year!

Dorothy one day.

Scarecrow the next.

I tend towards costumes you can create with items you already own vs purchasing a ready made costume from the store.

This is what I came up with this year!

Meanwhile, my kid is the exact opposite.

He insisted on being Michael Myers despite never having seen a single Halloween movie.

And wanted the store bought coveralls to go with the mask his dad already had.

Because somewhere along the way…we graduated from superheroes to serial killers. 😬

Regardless of costume choices, it’s always fun to see the whole neighborhood come together to celebrate.

Hope you all had a very Happy Halloween!!🎃 👻

Let me know if you dressed up this year. And if so, what or who were you?

This is your last chance to hit the Fall Festival at @schustersfarm before fall comes to an end!

They are open 10am-6pm on Saturday, October 31st for one last weekend of fun on the farm.

You can enjoy the Backyard games, take a hay ride, feed the goats, and concur the corn maze all with one entry fee.

Take home pumpkins to carve. 🎃

Or come destroy some on Pumpkin Destruction Day on Sunday from 11am-5pm!

It never quite feels like fall to me until we’ve made it the fall festival.

So get out and enjoy it while you can!

Happy Halloween Weekend!

What are we watching now that the World Series is over?? #gifted

These silky Brewers pajamas from @fanatics arrived just in time for me to call it an early night after staying up late three nights in a row to watch my team take home the championship! 🏆

It was absolutely worth the next day exhaustion though!

It has been so incredible to see how the whole state came together to rally around our home team.

Even people who wouldn’t call themselves baseball fans have been glued to the TV hoping and praying they would pull it off.

And pull it off they did!

With all of the heart and style we have come to expect from them. 💙💛💙

It is an exciting time to live in Wisconsin!

As folks are rushing the stores to grab their championship gear in time for tomorrow’s parade and rally, I’ll be over here sitting pretty in my new pjs.

You can snag a pair for yourself. Or as a gift for a fellow fan in my ShopMy shop. 👇🏽

https://go.shopmy.us/p-97835183 (I earn a small commission on purchases made using my links)

Because yes, we are buying up allll the Brewers gear and will be reppin’ this team proudly until the cows come home. 🐄

There is a new restaurant in town! 🍽️

@waltzingmatildasmadison officially opened last Thursday on @monroestreetmadison.

This new breakfast and lunch spot is brought to you by the same folks who own @bloombakeshop and @lallandemadison.

They plan to expand to cocktails and small bites for dinner in the near future.

Waltzing Matilda’s invites you to sit and stay to enjoy a meal in their inviting and whimsical atmosphere.

They do not currently offer takeout or delivery services and ask you to keep your laptop stowed in the dining room.

That way you can truly sit and savor their creative menu options!

I got the fresh squeezed carrot juice which was absolutely delicious. Along with the croque madame, which adds an egg to the monsieur.

You can order a baked good or coffee to compliment your brekkie as well!

I’ll definitely be back to try out some other options on their menu.

Reservations are recommended, which you can book online.

And be sure to pop in to the bathroom to see their adorable wallpaper. 🐈

Welcome to the neighborhood, Matilda!

All eyes are on the Milwaukee @brewers tonight!

I cannot WAIT to see them take the World Series by storm.

Wish I were there to see game one in person but we will definitely be cheering them on from Madison.

Who is with me?!

Let’s do this Brew Crew! ⚾️

Went to Bittersweet Blessings Farm in Deerfield for the $3 pumpkins (any pumpkin, any size). 🎃

Wound up buying 7 pumpkins and almost came home with a cat.🐈

We loaded up our pumpkins and I got in the car to drive off. And the next thing you know he was on my hood trying to find a way in through the glass. 😂

In all seriousness, if the owner had come out, I would have asked if I could just put it in my car and take it with me.

Might be time for another kitty! 🐱

But for real though. If you need pumpkins, this is the place to go!

It’s self-serve and they are open 24/7. You can pay in cash or Venmo.

Did you get your pumpkins yet?

Go check them out!

The wait is over and the @madpublicmarket is finally open!

This project has been years in the making. But came to fruition this summer.

Located at the corner of East Johnson and First Street, the Madison Public Market features local vendors, community events, and a weekly farmer’s market.

They have large event space available for rent as well.

More vendors are coming, but for now you can find food, ice cream, fresh flowers, haircare and body products, jewelry, chocolate, and more.

Save-the-date and plan to attend the grand opening event on Thursday, November 19th.

Otherwise pop in during open hours:

Wed-Fri: 5:00pm - 9:00pm
Sat: 10:00am - 8:00pm
Sun: 10:00am - 7:00pm

Please note: they charge for parking in the lot. Free parking is available on nearby streets.

However, parking is free for the holiday season thanks to a generous donor!

I’m excited to see the public market continue to take shape!

Have you been to check it out yet?

Let me know what you think in the comments!

I’ve been hearing all about the new @topgolf in Monona from friends and family, and finally got a chance to check it out myself this past weekend.

I’m not much of a golfer, so I wasn’t sure I would like it..

But honestly, I had a blast!

This two-floor complex is HUGE and has over 70 bays that are fully equipped with heaters to keep them open year round.

Bays are for rent by the hour and can accommodate up to 6 golfers each.

You can bring your own clubs or use theirs. And play a game so you are hitting at a target or trying for the highest score. Or just use practice mode to work on your swing.

They have a bar and restaurant on site, along with event space you can rent as well.

You can get half off golf all day Monday-Thursday when you book online. Or pay $30 an hour on Sundays for their Sunday Funday special. So it’s more affordable than I realized!

After swinging a club for the first time in at least 15 years (aside from mini golf), I realized I may need to take some lessons…

Good thing they offer those too!

They may make a golfer out of me yet. 😉

Have you been to Topgolf?

Let me know what you think of it in the comments!

Ease on down the road to the @overturecenter to catch @thewizbway now through Sunday! #gifted

This performance kicks off the start to another amazing season at Overture.

The Wiz is a staple from my childhood.

And I loved seeing it live on stage last night.

This Tony Award® winning musical stays true to the original, while putting an updated spin on the classic Wizard of Oz tale.

It is a celebration of Black culture. Blending jazz, funk, soul, and more, with colorful costumes and incredible choreography!

The talent on that stage absolutely blew me away. And I’ve been singing songs on repeat in my head all day! 🎶

Catch this show before it disappears as fast as the Wicked Witch dissolves in water!

And let me know if you remember the original movie and who played Dorothy and the Scarecrow. 😉
