10 years of being a hairstylist🥹

I never knew as a kid what I wanted to be. I knew I wanted to take care of people and make them happy, and that’s exactly what I do. It has never been about the money, the hairstylist lifestyle, or even really about doing hair. I have always LOVED people.

Every single client, story, and personality is so unique and I hold each of you close to my heart. I learn from you, I love our stories and laughs, and you cannot put a price tag on family by fate. Most appointments end with hugs and “I love you, see you soon!”. You all have been friends and family to me over the past 10 years and I couldn’t be more grateful.

And for all of my co-workers I’ve had over the years at Union and at The Social, you are all so special to me. You have made work not feel like work, and the days fly by because of how much fun we have. Somehow 11 years at Union and almost 1.5 at The Social feels like yesterday. You all have impacted me with your knowledge, your life stories, and your love.

It will never be “just” hair for me. If you are a client or co-worker, I don’t care how “unprofessional” it is in today’s world, you are like family to me. You are all the wonders of my world🫶🏼 taken in Trenton, Michigan by @madysenjaye
