Here is the official graduation post. Buckle up. On May 15th 2026 I officially graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. To my best friends who ensured my sanity, health, and happiness I cannot thank you enough. I never would have thought i would be misty eyed leaving Ames, Iowa but how lucky am I to have people in my life who made leaving so hard. To my professors and clinicians who pushed me to be better, think harder, and believe in myself, thank you. ❤️ I cannot believe I am finally a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine!

Going into month 3 of being a baby ER veterinarian! Still learning and growing so much. Current obsession: overnight lac repairs 🪡🧼 (I can’t seem to escape them)

I never could have imagined that throughout these 4 years I would have to actually demonstrate what I wrote my entire vet school personal statement about. However, after several personal life tragedies while enduring school I think I successfully demonstrated that I am the most resilient mf you will ever meet (;

And now to end with a sappy quote from Gladiator: Death smiles at us all. All a man can do is smile back 🌾

What a crazy spring semester! So grateful for all the amazing learning opportunities. February was a particularly new type of low with the unfortunate passing of my grandparents but we persevered! Thank you to all of my hardworking classmates who continuously showed up despite our increasing senioritis and thank you to my adorable patients for always reminding me why I decided to pursue this career in the first place 🐶🐱

Wearing Figs new Wild Iris 🪻and butter yellow 🐝. One of my favorite things about figs is after a long day of work I can keep my underscrub on and go for a run (: the duality of woman am I right?

Spring semester VM3 🌷🤍
.
.
.
Lots of large animal/production animal things going on. Classes for this semester:
• Production animal medicine
• Infectious diseases
• radiology
• toxicology
• cytology laboratory
• ophthalmology
• intro to clinics
Elective - topics in ER medicine! 🏥
This semester feels a little less clinically relevant than last but toxicology and ER medicine have been fun(:

While junior surgery might have really tested me and my confidence… I do miss interacting with patients 🐾 🥼
