I could not be more grateful for the memories made and experiences that we shared in Europe. I feel beyond blessed to have had the opportunity to take this trip of a lifetime with @co_d228 , @madisonrico.25 and @srmiap

I can’t thank @co_d228 and @madisonrico.25 enough for making so many of my dreams come true and checking off so many items on my bucket list. I will be reliving this trip for decades to come and I hope that they will as well.

I can’t believe today makes 5 years that you have passed. My heart is so heavy and I miss you terribly. However, I know with every ounce of me that you watch from Heaven above and are with me always!

I think of you always but especially in all things in nature. From the squirrels that we feed, the cardinals that nest in our trees, the rustling of the trees moving in the breeze, the beauty of a sunset, and all the quite,beautiful moments in between. You were and will always be the greatest father a girl could have and I’m so blessed that you chose to raise Reg and I.

I’m so grateful for you instilling a strong faith in God, the wisdom you shared, the courage you instilled and love that you poured into me each and every day. I’m blessed that you were able to pass on so much wisdom (especially cooking tips 😉) to Cody. I am grateful that Madison was able to cherish so many wonderful moments and memories with you as well.

It never gets any easier, actually, quite the opposite! A missing piece, a journey incomplete, and a relationship not fully formed.

Today makes 42 years without you and 42 years of not getting to know you. You are missed more and more each day. Yes, I am blessed getting to hear and know pieces of you through stories told by others, but it doesn’t fill the huge void that remains. I still long to hear your voice and feel the comfort of your arms.

It is only through my faith in God, that I know you watch over me from above. I am also grateful to know and have been told that I share so many of your same interests and talents.

Mom, today will always be a day that I hold close. For me, it’s a day to celebrate you entering Heaven. by @mae_438
