He’s one of the kindest, most team-first people I’ve coached. Leave nothing in the tank — he holds our team’s heaviest bench press record, and somehow, at his size, out-jumps teammates lighter and stronger than him (57.4cm CMJ). He believed the real work happened off the court too — bring the team together first, then go fight for something together. He valued that more than anything else.

When Coach Felton set him a weight target, he hit it before SEA Games. That’s just who he is.

This morning, I got to just listen. Months of weighing it — pressure from social media, from friends, from the team, from management — and he still chose what was true for him. I told him: keep that. Whatever big decision comes next in life, trust that same gut.

Three years, and ‘thank you’ doesn’t quite cover it. Malaysia basketball is small — I know this isn’t really goodbye. Go be great in the next chapter, Maegen.

To NS Matrix Deers 🦌❤️,

Almost 3 years. So many memories, challenges, lessons, and moments that I will carry with me for the rest of my career.

Thank you to everyone in the club — the management, coaches, teammates, staff, and everyone behind the scenes — for believing in me, supporting me, and making these past almost 3 years such a meaningful part of my journey.

To my teammates, thank you for every battle, every training session, every win, every loss, and every moment we shared together. It has been an honour to wear this jersey and fight alongside you guys.

And to all my fans and supporters, thank you for always being there. Your messages, encouragement, and support meant more to me than you probably realise. You guys have been amazing. ❤️

Leaving is never easy, especially after spending almost 3 years with a club that became such a big part of my life. But every chapter has its ending, and every ending brings a new beginning.

I’m grateful for everything NS Matrix Deers has given me, and I’ll always have love and respect for this club.

I recently went to Tenom, Sabah, a small and quiet place where I never expected to make a new friend.

But somehow, I met this little stray dog.

Let’s call him “The Tenom Dog.” 🐶

I was honestly quite bored during my time there, and somehow, he became my little companion. I started feeding him, spending time with him, and before I knew it… we became best friends. 😂🥺

Every time I saw him, he would come over. And even though we only knew each other for a short time, we created some really good memories together.

But then came the day I had to leave Tenom.

And honestly… it was quite sad.

I really wished I could do more for him, but unfortunately, I couldn’t take him with me. The only thing I could do was feed him until the last day I left.

So now, I’m hoping maybe someone in Tenom could help him. 🥺

Maybe someone could adopt him. Or if you see him around and have the heart to help, maybe feed him, give him some water, or just show him a little love.

He’s just a stray dog, but to me, he became a really good friend during my time there. 🤎

I’m sorry I couldn’t do more than feed you, buddy.

But I hope someone else will continue to take care of you. 🥺🐶
