🩸 Mae Czuba🩸 You’re invited to a party with THE DEVIL HERSELF 🩸 Opening for Zombie Opera at 5:45pm Mae Czuba is a saxophonist, vocalist, songwriter, and multidisciplinary performing artist whose background includes jazz, funk, R&B, orchestra, and theater. A graduate of the Jackie McLean Institute of Jazz, she holds degrees in both Jazz Voice and Jazz Saxophone, though her expression is rarely confined to just one genre. Mae’s performance experience spans jazz ensembles, funk and soul bands, salsa bands, musical theater, orchestral music, and her own projects as a bandleader. She began playing saxophone at age eleven, but later found her passion as a vocalist, which became the focus of her undergraduate studies. Voice and saxophone are both central to her music, informing an approach grounded in storytelling, improvisation, and drama. She performs throughout New England and New York as both a bandleader and sidewoman and is currently planting roots in New York City. Alongside performing, Mae writes songs and composes original music, drawing from her eclectic range of musical influences. At the center of her work is a love of character, collaboration, spontaneity, and some troublemaking. by @maeczuba
