Here it is: My setup for one summer on the road. Feels surreal to finally leave after so many hours of work I've put into this!🫨

Ovee the next months, I'll be riding all the way to the Nordkap. 5500 Kms with over 50'000 Meters of elevation gain is definitely my biggest project so far.

Besides everything you'll need for one summer solo & unsupported living off a bike, I carry my Trailrunning / Fastpacking setup wich I'll plan on using in the north.

The goal of this Trip? Not to reach the Kap, not to break any records - Just to soak in all the experiences and adventures these amazing northern countries have to offer. (And checking out as many skandinavian bakeries as possible!)

I'll document my journey on this account! So if you're new here, follow along to not miss out!

Cycling Norway Chapter 1 | Oslo - Nordmarka - Oppland - Gudbrandsdalen

Norway just doesn’t miss!!! 🇳🇴

The ride north from Oslo has been nothing short of incredible — endless gravel roads through deep forests, past stunning lakes, and through cozy villages. And somehow, we’ve even been gifted with almost perfect weather (a rare luxury in Norway).

Next chapter starts tomorrow: climbing the Mjølkerampe and diving into the beautiful gravel roads of the Mjølkevegen, with epic views towards Jotunheimen National Park

Can't wait to explore more of this wonderful country 😍

Cycling Denmark’s west coast has been the most pleasant surprise ever!! As my plan was to get to Norway, it was obvious that I had to pass Denmark. I didn’t think much of it first and thought I’d just trust komoot with the fastest way through the inland.
Thankfully, @hofer_jonas_ recommended me the west coast just at the right time - so I decided to change plans and spend a little longer in Denmark. And thank God I did! Although I had very strong headwinds for most of the time (at some points the wind hust stopped me instantly or even blew me off track) I really enjoyed riding the perfect gravel roads along the breathtaking coastline.
Would absolutely do it again!

The first four days on the road: 400 km, from Basel to Frankfurt.

The heat wave brought temperatures of over 40 degrees Celsius, from about 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Even at night, the temperatures barely reached 30 degrees.

These conditions forced me to slow down. The challenge was finding a place to cool off every few kilometers. I felt overheated and tired all day.

The next challenge: What do you eat when you constantly have to drink to avoid dehydration? The required number of calories combined with fluid intake led me to a completely new approach to nutrition.

Nevertheless, I made it to Frankfurt. And I feel great! Now the temperatures have dropped to about 30 degrees, which feels very refreshing. I can’t wait to experience the next chapter: Frankfurt - Hamburg. by @maettuuu

Some Impressions from @swissenduroseries & Swiss Championsships in Airolo some days ago...

Went there with a different approach than previous times, and guess what: it worked! I was by far not the fastest guy on the mountain, but I had lots of fun and kept it (mostly) safe. P 30/56, but fuck the Rankings! FREE RACING🙂‍↕️

Shoutout to everyone who made the weekend as epic as it was! See you in Aletsch Arena for the (maybe) last race for a bit...
