8 years with my first love, rowing, and a huge chapter is coming to a close.💌

From SJRC to OU, rowing has shaped every fiber of my soul and changed who I am forever. This sport has brought me the deepest sense of fulfillment and joy, a kind that I could never have imagined.

Rowing is a sport of sacrifice, commitment and selflessness. It’s a beautiful thing to completely turn yourself over to something much greater than most will ever understand. Nothing will ever be as formative as this was for me and I am indebted to this experience.

The lessons I have learned and memories I have gained are ones that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Thank you to my teammates for making this sport as special as it is.

Thank you to my coaches who have pushed me to be the strongest and most resilient version of myself. It is because of you that I have discovered the true nature of limitless potential.

Everything I am and all I become is because of my time rowing. by @maffeibecca
