The best part of waking up is the 12-minute window before anyone else gets here.

Sunggled in my favorite CoinMafia hoodie. Mafia Fuel. STASH open. No meetings. No “quick question.” No HR asking whether sushi counts as a business expense.

Just coffee, quiet, and the very temporary illusion that I work alone.

I can check STASH, answer nothing, approve nothing, and pretend the entire company operates exactly as documented.

It’s peaceful.

Suspiciously peaceful. As I savor the last drops from my STASH mug.

Then Icy wakes up.

Within 5 minutes there is a sushi request, somebody has moved my mug, and the phrase “can you just look at this real quick” has entered the building. My last internship was incredibly demanding and there the bosses left me alone for HOURS in the morning. Probably to do with the capes and robes they wear. Anyway.

Morning officially over.

I found the box labeled “reasons STASH costs money.”

Empty.

Naturally.

Because building a portfolio tracker across 53 chains apparently wasn’t enough unnecessary competence for one rollout.

It also had to be free.

No ads. No listing fees. No pay to rank. No selling your data.

I asked why we couldn’t simply meet industry standards and go home at a reasonable hour.

Enzo said, “We don’t set our standards by what everyone else does.”

I miss places where mediocrity had procedures.

Here, somebody notices something could be better and then they actually fix it.

Immediately.

For free.

Do you understand what this does to an intern’s workload.

HR called it “a culture of excellence.”

I have reported HR for contributing to the problem.

The 6th annual Academy Museum Gala is tonight in Los Angeles, and Taylor Swift is reportedly performing.

The Intern has declared this the most important corporate event in CoinMafia history. She's been preparing for 3 days, drafted an 11-page itinerary, and threatened disciplinary action against anyone caught checking Stash during Taylor's performance.

Nine pages of the itinerary concern Taylor Swift. The remaining two are legal disclaimers regarding Enzo's behavior.

Gotti asked who gave her that authority.

Enzo asked if the no-phone policy applies during applause.

The Intern informed them that she would not tolerate anyone embarrassing CoinMafia in front of Hollywood's elite, particularly if Taylor Swift was within a 500-foot radius.

Gotti reminded her that Icy is HR.

She said she'd deal with him Monday.

Meanwhile, the Intern has checked her own portfolio 14 times since arriving and insists those are operational necessities, not policy violations.

Enzo has now requested a formal definition of operational necessity. Gotti has requested that everyone stop talking.

We have no idea who's winning an award tonight, but the Intern has already informed management that if Taylor performs, she will be unavailable for approximately 3 business days afterward.

She's calling it recovery leave.

Management is calling it an unauthorized absence.

At this point, we're just hoping Hollywood invites us back.

I was told we were launching a Vacation Collection. Sounded good to me. Then Made Goods informed me that I was the model.

I suggested they hire a professional. Apparently, putting my face all over the shirt wasn't enough. They wanted the actual face wearing it.

So now I'm on a tropical island, somebody's yelling at me to work the runway, and I haven't had a drink in 45 minutes. This is getting dangerously close to employment.

Anyway, the Gotti Vacation Shirt is officially part of the Made Goods Vacation Collection. I gotta admit, the shirt looks good. Of course it does. Look who's on it.

Crypto has spent years acting like confusion is a credential.

If you don’t have 4 monitors, 11 tabs open, 3 Discord servers arguing with each other, a Telegram notification every 14 seconds and one spreadsheet you’re scared to close because you’re not entirely sure what it does, apparently you’re underprepared.

Somewhere along the way, we collectively accepted that checking your own money should feel like running air traffic control during a thunderstorm.

We have a different philosophy.

The technology can be complicated. Using it shouldn’t require a finance degree, a second laptop and a blood-pressure medication.

There will always be people who make simple things sound difficult because difficult sounds impressive. Give them enough time and somebody will eventually say “multi-layered liquidity architecture” when they mean “your stuff is over there.”

We’d rather make difficult things feel simple.

CoinMafia.

## BRIAH & ICY: MAFIAVERSE MISADVENTURES
### EPISODE 20 — DINNER WITH A VIEW 🇮🇹🌊
*The Milan Files: Part 2*

After several busy days in Milan, SaPerFlyy decided she needed a peaceful escape to Capri.

She brought Briah to an elegant restaurant terrace overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

“No meetings. No emergencies. Just dinner,” she said calmly.

Briah surveyed the terrace out of habit. Even on holiday, the Head of Security never truly switched off.

Their peaceful evening lasted exactly four minutes.

Icy arrived wearing a formal suit and carrying enough menus to build a small house. Behind him came Grumpy, friendly Enzo, The Intern and Brother of Chaos—all dressed for Fashion Week.

Icy studied the first dish.

“Why is the tasting portion dressed better than me?”

“It’s called presentation,” SaPerFlyy explained.

Icy examined the tiny serving. “Then we should order twelve presentations each. Do they offer a volume discount?”

Grumpy quietly drank his espresso and judged everyone.

The Intern recorded the entire conversation for “official documentation.”

Enzo stood near the entrance looking so professional that several guests mistook him for security.

Briah glanced at him. “You know that’s my job, right?”

Brother of Chaos had already calculated the bill, divided it equally and quietly removed Icy’s proposed fourteen desserts from everyone else’s share.

What began as a peaceful dinner soon became louder, longer and considerably more expensive.

SaPerFlyy watched the chaos unfold without losing her composure.

“I’ve got this.”

Briah looked around the table at the laughing crew and smiled.

Sometimes family is the reason you need an escape.

And sometimes they’re the reason the escape becomes unforgettable.

**The lesson:** Community isn’t always quiet or perfectly organised. It’s showing up, sharing the moment and making memories together—even when someone orders twelve desserts.

**One family. One table. One very large bill.** 🐾🍝

### EPISODE 19 — THE MILAN CALL-UP 🇮🇹

The Mafiaverse headquarters received an urgent message from SaPerFlyy:

**“Briah and I are already in Milan. Fashion Week has started. Dress properly.”**

Rackham immediately activated the official travel protocol.

Within minutes, the crew arrived wearing their finest suits.

Gotti looked ready to negotiate a luxury fashion deal.
Enzo practised smiling politely at photographers.
Grumpy wore a perfectly tailored suit—but still carried his usual coffee.
Midnight checked the departure board every thirty seconds, eager to reunite with SaPerFlyy.

Then Icy appeared with **twelve suitcases**.

Rackham stared at them. “How many contain clothes?”

“One,” Icy replied.

“And the other eleven?”

“Emergency Italian snacks.”

At airport security, Briah called to verify that everyone had their passports.

Icy suddenly froze.

The entire crew searched his pockets, luggage and snack supplies—until The Intern discovered his passport hidden inside a sandwich.

“I was keeping it safe,” Icy explained.

“From whom?” Grumpy asked.

“My future hungry self.”

Hours later, the Mafiaverse crew finally boarded the flight to Milan—slightly delayed, extremely overdressed and carrying enough food to survive three fashion seasons.

Back in Italy, Briah read the latest security report and sighed.

SaPerFlyy remained completely unbothered.

“I’ve got this.”

Fashion Week was about to meet the Mafia—and the Mafia was bringing the whole family.

**The lesson:** Big moments require preparation, teamwork and people who keep moving together—even when one of them stores important documents beside lunch.
