The mural is inspired by the figure of the ‘Dones d’aigua’ (water women) from Catalan mythology. These legendary creatures dwell in springs, rivers, ponds and other water-related places. They are associated with nature and the regeneration of life. A direct link is established with the surroundings of the River Besòs and the process of environmental recovery it has undergone in recent decades.
The mural depicts this mythological being in dialogue with some of the birds that inhabit the River Besòs, establishing a connection between natural and cultural heritage.

I’m sharing a commission that didn’t go ahead in the end; it involved painting a portrait of the artist Natalia Lacunza in a shop window.

🎶 I spent some time listening to her music and watching her music videos to create my own version of her portrait, inspired by what her work had conveyed to me. Her music is emotional and very introspective 🩵

✨@kanela_fest 7th edition✨
🎨A mural I painted in Algayón (Huesca) for the Kanela Street Art festival.

🌙 Inspired by ancient myths of the area: goddesses connected to life, nature and the practice of pagan magic.

🦉It also depicts the eagle owl, a bird native to this region and one with great symbolic significance in ancient cultures as the guardian of wisdom.

🙌 Thanks to @lacuadra2005 and @ayuntamientotamarite for the opportunity!
