Death threat email to Mark L. Epstein (Jeffrey's brother, aka "Puggie") and his attorney Stacey Richman, May 26, 2020—one year after Jeffrey’s death:

📧 “You don't know us, I'm sure. You have beautiful children, bitch. Fuck your children.

Which one should I kill first? You know no one knows who we are. I want to kill them in such a way that no one can tell how they died. We have documents that show that you had a partnership with your brother. I want to do something to see the death of your loved ones.
We will kill one of your children in 72 hours. Stupid.”

Other troubling issues from the Mandera County oversight.

Mandera County spent KSh 13 million on vehicle repairs.
When asked to produce a list of the vehicles repaired, the Governor was unable to do so.

The County also allocated KSh 12.5 million for cash transfers, funds meant to reach poor and starving families directly.

When questioned, the Governor admitted the money was never issued as cash transfers.
Instead, the entire KSh 12.5 million was donated to a single orphanage.

One orphanage received all the funds, and that was the end of the matter.

In the last financial year, Mandera County further spent over KSh 380 million on food and relief for local residents, yet could not provide a clear breakdown of how the money was used.

And yet, every day, we still see people suffering.

This is not about charity.
It is about systems, accountability, and whether public funds are reaching the people they were meant to help.

Kenyans deserve transparency, especially in times of hunger. by @magaticl
