Extreme metal from Oklahoma.

Black metal, death metal, extreme metal, —whatever way you slice it, these guys are a force to be reckoned with that you simply can’t ignore. The newest single from the four-piece titled, “Exalted Nephilic Defiler” is a flaunting of pure brutality.

While hard to pin down, I was lucky enough to speak with the band about a few things they have been up to, and what’s coming next for the monstrous band of defilers. Ladies and gentlemen, Magazu!

Today we are unveiling the artwork accompanying our newest single, Exalted Nephilic Defiler, to be released in less than two weeks on August 1st. We will be debuting this new song live at the upcoming Haunter show in September.

This is may be our most intense song yet, a furious whirlwind of riffs, darkness and fire. It also represents the beginning of a new direction for Magazu, featuring creative contributions from all four members. We hope you are as excited as we are for Exalted Nephilic Defiler to finally be released upon the world. by @magazuofficial

On September 13th, Austin, Texas based blackened death psychedelia HAUNTER makes their way to The Sanctuary for the first time ever after lying dormant for some time. This is not a show to be missed if you are an extreme metal fan in any capacity! Haunter brings something for all people in their brutal long form meditations while still delivering the riffs and the aggression of traditional death and black metal. Accompanying them is Tulsa’s cavernous old school death metalers Ectospire, the long awaited return of Magazu’s rich chaotic and melodic soundscapes, the blackened americana epics from Yew, and lastly the ambient and harrowing scores from Galvorn Dagger, this show an amalgamation of all things crushing, moving, and ego-offending. Trv ones pull up.

Tickets available for $14 in advance and at the door. Link in our bio for advance.

We of Magazu are pleased to announce a new dark force on the bass in the form of Mac Syrett. Furthermore, Dave Webb has turned his talents towards second guitar. These new contributions to the project can be heard on our forthcoming single, Exalted Nephilic Defiler, premiering August 1st on most streaming platforms. Stay tuned for more information regarding new music and upcoming live performances in the coming weeks. taken in Oklahoma by @magazuofficial
