Being a first-gen Latina, I take so much pride in who I am and where I come from because if it wasn’t for my parents then I wouldn’t be where I am today….entonces gracias por todo lo que han hecho por mí - sin su apoyo ni amor no estaría aquí🤞

Even then I still thought coming to Baylor would be hard to find community and celebrate my culture, but I was far from wrong. Instead I dove deeper into it and found ways to celebrate and lead - thank you to all the orgs and programs that cherish diversity and take pride in not only my people, but everyone’s! Thank you @baylor_ma, @baylorlash, and so many more for allowing me to grow, lead, and advocate for each other (as we all belong in these places👏)! taken in Baylor University by @magdalenehernandez_

thank you @bayloruniversity for everything - from all the sic ‘ems to shaping who I am today!

Last day of undergrad, but it feels like just yesterday that I moved onto campus and time truly flew by….I can’t even fathom what all I have accomplished in my time here, but it was due to the community at Baylor & my family that helped me get here!

Thank you Baylor for the best 4 years - I could never imagine it any other way!

Sic’em Forever 🧸💛

If only freshman Magdalene could see she was going to @johnshopkinsu for a post-bacc for research, then she’d know the struggle was all worth it and more

As a first gen student this is an accomplishment I truly never imagined for myself, and all I can say is that I am so grateful for it and thankful for everyone that has always pushed and supported me throughout my journey because this is solely the beginning…this isn’t just for me, but for my family 🇲🇽🤎

See you soon JHU👩‍🔬🔬 by @magdalenehernandez_

Thank you FILSA for truly shaping who I am today and to all my mentees/mentors (even the unofficial ones lol) who I continuously look up to🫶 by @magdalenehernandez_
