and all shall know the wonder. i will sing the song of purple summer.
•••
ilse. what a gift to get to play this dream role, to sing these songs, and to share her story and the story of “spring awakening.” this is a role that i have somehow known in my gut for years that i would play and tonight i will do it for the last time, but ilse’s message of “spring and summer every other day” will stay with me forever, i think.

i want to say thank you to everyone who made this possible, the cast, crew, audience members, sponsors, volunteers, everyone. especially cooper — thank you for letting me bring ilse to life. it has been an honor to help carry out your vision.

one more show. closing night. SOLD OUT! let’s sing the song of purple summer one more time. 💜 by @magdaroub
