Hello! I’m Deanna, artist, homeschooling/stay-at-home mom of 4, and wife.

I started taking art classes 15 years ago as a teenager, I actually met my husband in my painting class. I have done drawing, pen and ink, color pencil, acrylic painting and watercolor painting.

I hadn’t been making art consistently since having kids, but I still would do a commission here and there for family and friends. But I kept telling myself I wasn’t good even to try selling/marketing my art.

Finally, I said it doesn’t hurt to try. So I’ve made this account. Even if I just end up making art and don’t sell a thing, I’d still have enjoyed making the art. by @mageeartistry

I grew in trust and following God’s prompting. Some of the paintings I wanted to have more than a quick picture, but I knew they weren’t really painted for me. That the painting would mean more to be shared, even if it was to only give the person a smile it was worth giving it away.

I had no idea where this tiny painting was going or that it would have so much meaning to it.

Jesus is my everything, and what he did for us on the cross can’t ever be put fully to words. I didn’t deserve it, I didn’t work for it, and yet he paid the price with his blood. His death gave me life and I am redeemed! by @mageeartistry

A few ACEO’s I’ve done. It’s was fun low pressure painting without feeling like I’m wasting materials.

Currently I’m not sure if I’ll be listing these on any sites. So, If you like one of these and want to purchase, DM me your offer. by @mageeartistry

Rough concept painting I did in 30 minutes. How freeing it can be to not worry about making it look just right. by @mageeartistry

Also fun fact about this paint… it’s not finished.

When I was painting the self portrait part I was missing half my paints from moving, so I only had white black and burnt sienna. I got about 90% done and then put it aside, now it’s been so many years it feels wrong to finish it.

My most recent painting!

I had this galaxy painting I was wanting to add a sketch to, so when I found @imbersolismusic looking for artist to post their work with her song “Northern Star” playing in the background, I was inspired and my painting fit so perfectly! I decided to paint her from the video clip that plays with the song on Spotify. I’m so happy with how it turned out!

This is also the first painting in a series I’m doing.
