Illustration work for The Chloe. Such a dream to see these coyotes come to life across the project — from rugs and lampshades to wallpaper and beyond! by @maggie_sanger

I was invited to create the brandmark for The Chloe Nashville (!) — which is a bit outside of my usual lane, but the crossover felt right for this one, especially alongside the best creative partners: Remick Arch, Kaitlin Goodwin, and Sara Costello.

Rooted in Nashville lore, we drew inspiration from the coyote that casually wandered into the bathroom at the Music City Center in 2019 and quickly became a local icon. From there, I created a suite of custom coyote illustrations designed to live seamlessly across the entire project. These coyotes span digital assets as well as environmental applications like wallpaper, lampshades, and rugs… a true dream/design direction that I hope my work continues toward. by @maggie_sanger

In addition to painting my own mural on-site, I worked with Peabody Union to curate over 30 temporary walls featuring 21 amazing local artists. Swipe to see some progress shots from the install this past spring 💫 taken in Downtown Nashville by @maggie_sanger

sneakiest of peeks have emerged at the location of the upcoming Motley development here in Nash

—

Being a part of this Exquisite Corpse application was a highlight of 2024 💫

Concepted + curated by @pact.studio, this initiative draws inspiration from a surrealist drawing game where two or three artists take turns drawing parts of a “body” without seeing the other’s contributions.

Can’t wait to see how these ever-changing characters will be integrated into the building + evolution of The Motley over the next few years. taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @maggie_sanger
