A little Bali communications update 🌴☀️

I’m keeping my Australian mobile mostly on Aeroplane Mode while we’re away, so I may not see ordinary SMS/text messages very promptly — apparently even I can occasionally resist being permanently connected to everything. 🤪

If you need or want to reach me while we’re in Bali, please use WhatsApp or Messenger. I’ll receive those over Wi-Fi and can reply without inadvertently making a daily donation to Vodafone’s roaming fund. 😂

And just in case photos of us swanning around Bali suggest that our home has been abandoned to its fate — it most certainly hasn’t! 🏡🐾

Our home is being very lovingly looked after by a dear friend, assisted by our two resident greyhound security officers, Callie and Buddy. Their surveillance technique mostly involves sleeping for approximately 22 hours a day, but we have every confidence they will rise to the occasion should circumstances demand it. 😂🐕🐕

Meanwhile, if I’m a little slower than usual to respond, assume I’m somewhere near the beach, a pool, a massage table or something delicious. 🌴🙏🏼💚 taken in Grand Hyatt Bali by @maggierball

Gratitude, trust and surrender🙏🏼💜

As I approach a significant surgery tomorrow morning, I am filled with gratitude for the love and support that has surrounded me from the moment I learned the operation was necessary.

I feel supported on so many levels—medically, practically and spiritually. The lessons I have learned and the breakthroughs I have experienced have been profound.

Apparently, “The Universe Always Has a Plan”. (Thank you, Matt Kahn.)

The need for this surgery has brought about a dramatic change in my lifestyle. My exercise, food and alcohol habits have all changed, and I feel fitter and healthier than I have in many years. I’m now wearing clothes I haven’t worn for over 20 years… plus a few new ones, of course! 🤣

What first seemed like something to fear has revealed itself as a doorway to unexpected gifts. Discovering those gifts has been a gift in itself.

God, Goddess, the Universe, Spirit, the Divine—whatever name you give to that greater presence—it seems they know what they’re doing. 🙏🏼

My deepest thanks to my beloved, who has supported and cared for me in countless ways throughout this journey, and to several close friends…
you know who you are.
Love has many faces. 🙏🏼💖

This is what you call a silver lining🙏🏼💖
Some may know that our beautiful blue Honda was stolen a couple of months ago. It hasn’t been an easy time for me however my fanily and some dear friends have helped me see that there is always a silver lining.🤍
