Every year older Jude gets the more I love him and like him.

He’s genuinely hilarious— he for sure gets his humor from his dad and his ability to commit to the bit is incredible.

He has an expansive imagination and sense of creativity— every moment he’s not closing his Move rings that kid has a pencil and a dream to draw.

He loves music— movie scores, Japanese/Korean theme songs, and Vampire Weekend/Valley/JVKE— he’s starting learning how to play and understand how artists express themselves.

He’s a FOODIE. While he has his picky moments (vegetables)— he’s eaten everything this year from tuna sashimi to grilled octopus to every combo of ramen you could imagine. Definitely getting better with chopsticks and is learning to cook more!

He’s such a big helper— he’s always my sidekick when I’m serving in preschool or nursery and he’s so amazing with babies.

His heart is so tender— Jude never lets people feel left out or lonely. He’s always sticking up for his friends and is always down to help a stranger in need. He cares in a way I’ve forgotten over the years— he reminds me to live open and generously.

I blinked and he’s already 9— proud of him growing, but will always see him as my baby ❤️ by @magginfowlar
