Il 13 settembre portiamo “MOSAIKO Block Party” a Quarto Oggiaro.

Milano è piena di persone, collettivi, artisti, creativi e realtà che ogni giorno fanno cose incredibili. Ma troppo spesso tutto rimane separato.

Questa volta vogliamo fare le cose diversamente.

Vogliamo creare uno spazio dove tutte queste energie possano incontrarsi, condividere, ballare, creare e stare insieme.

Il primo stop è Quarto Oggiaro.

Non veniamo a portare qualcosa al quartiere.
Veniamo a costruire qualcosa con il quartiere.

Una piazza piena.
Musica.
Persone.
Cibo.
Community.
E tanta, tantissima energia.

Abbiamo deciso di fare le cose insieme: collettivi milanesi, artisti, partner, ARCI e tutte le persone che hanno scelto di mettere qualcosa dentro questo progetto.

Vogliamo vedere Milano insieme.

On September 13th we’re bringing“MOSAIKO Block Party” to Quarto Oggiaro (MI).

Milan is full of people, collectives, artists and creatives building incredible things every day. But too often, everyone stays in their own corner.

We want to change that.

We want to create a space where all these energies can come together, connect, dance, create and celebrate our unity.

Our first stop is Quarto Oggiaro.

We are not bringing something to the neighborhood.
We are building with the neighborhood.

Music. Community. People. Energy.

Built together with Milan-based collectives, artists, partners, and everyone putting their energy into this project.

Giving back.

DON’T FORGET WHERE IT STARTED. ❤️

In this piece we explore the neighborhoods beyond the center, the places where culture begins to exist and then grow, communities come together, and creativity finds a way to exist with what’s available.

For this story, we sat down with Irene from @circolo_arci_itaca to continue a conversation about Quarto Oggiaro, a neighborhood that has often been spoken about through stereotypes and misconceptions, but that reveals something very different when you take the time to listen to the people who live, create, and build there.

After bringing MOSAIKO to the neighborhood for our first Block Party, we wanted to keep that conversation going. To look beyond the idea of “the center” and ask what happens when we pay attention to the places outside of it.

Because the outskirts are often where you find the things that make a city truly feel alive: the food, the culture, the stories, the people, the communities, and the creativity that grows from what is already there.

MOSAIKO MEANS MOSAIC.

A union of different people, disciplines, points of view, and experiences coming together to create something bigger. That’s what we wanted to bring to Milan.

When we started our journey in Italy, we didn’t want a big venue in the center. We wanted to start from where culture truly grows: Quarto Oggiaro. A neighborhood where people create with what they have, and where music, style, art, food, and new ideas come from.

So we brought the block together—different generations and backgrounds in one space. What happened was bigger than a party: it was community.

A huge thank you to @circolo_arci_itaca for hosting us, and to @ritmoresearch and @thezungu_ for bringing the food, energy, vibes, and backing us up with this project.

Thank you from the heart to @luoghi.impossibile_12 and @lozzzino who with their workshops provided us the tools of art and music to explore ourselves and unite for a day ✨

Shoutout and special thanks to the incredible artists who brought the energy all day long: @jasleymusic with her incredible live performance, and @martinacampana , @akadre.uno , @ike_melchizedek , @ezrijade and @t.no for setting the floor on fire!

This Block Party was our first step in Italya bridge to connect incredible local creatives and people. We’re not waiting for someone else to tell our stories. We’re telling them ourselves.
