After a three year battle my daddy was called home to be with the Lord. Im angry, heart broken, and def not magical. ALS is a disgusting disease that robbed my dad of his golden years. #fuckals #alssucks #als #alswarrior by @magicallymellie

Happy 6 months to our miracle baby. 💚 The NICU is so much more than wires, monitors, and isolettes. It’s learning how to be a parent with nurses and machines surrounding you. It’s asking if you can hold your own baby. It’s celebrating the smallest things that suddenly feel huge — a few extra grams, finishing another bottle, needing a little less oxygen, or finally getting rid of one more wire.
It’s leaving the hospital without your baby and seeing that empty car seat in the back. It’s waking up in the middle of the night wondering what’s happening in his little NICU room.

And then, 76 days later, we finally hear the words we have been waiting for… “You can take your baby home.” 💚

The NICU doesn’t just disappear from your story,
when you walk out of those doors and head home.
However, today, I’m especially thankful that our tiny 3 lb. 14 oz. miracle is SIX MONTHS OLD. 🥹💚
Happy 6 months Baby J! We are so incredibly proud of you. 💚

One day, I will tell our story. But for now, if you know a NICU family, or are a NICU family, I see you and I am sending you so much love! #nicubaby #nicufamily #disneyfamily #miraclebaby #nicugrad by @magicallymellie
